Reading that reminded me so so much of MYSELF when I worked with the public, and this one other station (at my last job). omg I had to practically come to a spiritual awakening to keep from losing my shit there. And that is from an old white lady that only puts up with a certain amount. for real...I finally quit that job for 2 reasons - my mother was needing to be watched, even though she wouldn't admit it...AND they got a new asst mgr in there and he began saying ALL of us cashiers were short...when we knew we were damn not. Well...he dipped his fingers in my cash register count for the last time and I said fuck it. For realz. I don't steal and I damn sure know how to run a register. I can even make change without the register telling me how much.

I planned how I would work the next week until I knew he was coming in...and I'd quit before his shift. It was his luck it was during my days off and I was nice and let them know the evening before.
