im digesting a bbq'ed rib eye steak and grilled tomatoes while resting my back

i did too much today..atv ride and then sorting batteries ,converters,copper wire and cleaning rads preparing for a scrap run

 

About to make a whole wheat crust veggie pizza.

 

The air pollution here is so bad right now. It looks like foggy day today. But it's forest fire smoke. I thought about quitting my current job to be a firefighter this summer. But the last time i did that I got no work because it was a fire free summer. I was apprehensive to do it this summer because this winter and spring was very wet and dreary. But now I regret not doing it because I'd be making better money now.

Normally I have a very good smoke tolerance compared to other people. But today it's so bad my eyes are burning

Fuck my life.

 

I am iN THE MIDDLE OF COMING TO TERMS TO SAYING BYE TO spANKY CAT....MY ORANGE AND WHITE BUDDY CAT THAT NEVER MADE ME WORRY, ALWAYS CAME WHEN i CALLED, LOVED EVERYONE AND ALWAYS VISITED MY NEIGHBORS TO SAY HELLO TO THEM, BUT CAMe home whenever he heard me calling for him.....sorry for the capital lock. He is in kidney failure right now....and we have some hard decisions to make this week.......as the vet told us this morning....At most he has two weeks left,. He smells terrible, but I just spent the evening laying next to him on the bed.....and broke down crying just a little while ago.

I’m reminded of a short story in the Illustrated Man anthology in which a group of astronauts land on a distant planet where it rains constantly and the rain eventually drives them crazy.

Just back from the beach. Sunburnt as hell. Can't wait to take a cool shower and clean up, but alas, I used the last of my clean towels at the beach. So now I'm in my sticky sandy swimsuit waiting to put towels in the dryer.

I'm pooped.

 

im gearing up to travel across town to go buy a cheap broken snowblower

 

Went to the movies and soon, going to meet friends for dinner. SO glad I don't have to wake up early tomorrow.

 

What movie did you finally end up seeing?

 

The new Spiderman movie, it was really good, considering I don't like spiderman movies. lol :blush5:

I haven't seen I yet, but I love Michael Keaton. Might see it when it hits Redbox. Never got into the whole superhero thing.

Having a blast so far. Went out Friday night, spent the day at the beach today, and will probably use tomorrow to recover and get ready for the week.

 

lol Agree. I'm more into movies where there's human struggle and perseverance. Super hero movies have always seemed to me, to suggest that we aren't good enough to solve our own problems. I know, it's just a movie. But, it's a pet peeve of mine, I guess.

The beach sounds so fun!
