I went to bed before they were even getting started sometimes, they worked 2nd shift. And then I would be stuck taking them to recycling the next morning because i'm not going to let the cans sit all day Ah, roommates
It's really hard to find a place to live out here, and when I first moved here, the only place I could find to rent was this house near a college being shared by four college students. One of them was in Europe for a semester and so I basically got rent her room for four months. So here I was in my mid-30s living with three 19-20 year old college girls. It was the first time I felt like a real "adult." I just couldn't relate to them, I couldn't talk to them, I couldn't understand them. It was so awkward and uncomfortable. Despite being in college, they were pretty clueless to the world around them. You couldn't talk to them about politics, news, current events, etc. They were just...oblivious. They knew a hundred different YouTube celebrities but couldn't name their state senators. Then I'd say things like, "Have you ever noticed that in the movie Fargo they are either eating in every scene or talking about eating. What do you think the significance of that is?" To which they'd reply with something like, "You're weird." I couldn't move out fast enough.
I don't know why my "watch this thread" rarely to never works here for this one. I hated reading a buinch of y'alls stuff because it was/is so sad and upsetting. Dang. But I'm glad to know...and will be sending positive energy (and yes, I pray). I'm so glad you are actively working at finding answers @Moonglow 181 (the thing that is supposed to make my fellow users names blue and in full will NOT work!)... it is so good you are eating and hungry some now. @Meliai I know how close you are to your mom, and I surely hate hearing she's having health problems. Having a wonderful daughter like you would absolutely make things easier, I am certain. @Pete's Draggin' oh my goodness...somehow I have missed the info you related. Bless you and your precious wife. EDIT: I see that after I clicked Post Reply y'alls names did indeed show up in blue. I spelled them all the way out, but had no idea it would "take". anyway...
Watching 'Worst Movies on....' on youtube, further densentisizing myself from over-rated blockbuster films of today.
Went out to breakfast with my husband and some friends, and this place is just so good and offers lots of healthy choices. I had avocado spread on wheat toast with a pinch of sea salt and lemon juice, with a few egg whites on the side. Such a simple breakfast, even I could make this at home.
Went to the Outback on Friday night for my twin lobster tails....broccoli and sweet potato...nothing else.....$28.00 for two small lobster tails!???? It is a good thing I had a gift certificate from Christmas to pay for it still. Could not eat it all..Saved one lobster tail and some broccoli which I just ate today for lunch.....and squoze fresh lemon all over it. Wow, I could eat that every day. It was so good the second time here...better than at the restaurant......Steamed broccoli is great with lemon juice.... Friend came over yesterday and we had a wine(not really wine but grape juice)...and cheese party here....a nice precursor for the holiday weekend...I got all of the expensive cheeses...brie, Gouda, Camembert....eh, nothing to write home about with those cheeses...They are ok....and I got the old fashioned rye crisp to put those on....and my friend bought over a huge watermelon...so that was very nice....Today I am making my potato salad and things for tomorrow, and a friend will come over tomorrow , too for all of that. That avocado spread sounds delicious...I have to remember to buy some avocados at the store next time I go there, soon to make my own spread.
I wish i had bought the horseradish with wasabi cheese yesterday....I probably would have enjoyed that more....lol The camembert was my favorite of the 3 I did buy. Oh, yeah, at the outback...Stan got the special for $17.00...which included clam chowder soup.....the blue cheese wedge salad, a small steak, garlic mashed potatos and cheesecake with raspberry sauce......and he ate the entire small loaf of bread they give with butter and half of my sweet potato and a few of my broccolis...the only thing he did not eat was the cheesecake, which he took home and had last night. I tasted that cheesecake with the raspberry sauce. that is out of this world. Where can I get raspberry sauce?...not jam or jelly but raspberry sauce????? probably my favorite of all of the berries, quite honestly.
I love lobster, but I could never ever kill one...no way.....could I kill one....so I guess i will always have to go out to eat to get any fresh lobster....
hawk was tangling with a starling in the air, starting dropped right by my feet gasping for its last breath. nature is wicked but it was sad watching the bird dying. I don't think the hawk was hunting for the bird, I just think they don't like each other .
