Yes, it is. I miss her and talking with her.... The hard part about it was that is was so unexpected........I had visited her the day before......which was a long car trip. Stan and I would visit her quite a bit, and then leave the same day or night to get back to all of the animals here. I called her when we got back home safely, and that was the last I spoke to her....not knowing......she would die in her sleep on the couch the next day or night.....Had to call the cops to go check and break in if they had to, and they called me back and told me. they said she looked peaceful, though.
Anyway, I made Stan stop at the ASPCA today to look at dogs,. It has been 6 months since, Sully, the golden died, and Stan's birthday is coming up the beginning of next month, and iwant to get him anew dog companion..... We looked and mostly all they had were pitbulls and pitbull mixes.......I fell in love with one of them , who is four, very shy and gentle and sweet....i wanted to take him home, but we did not....as it is scary, too. I don't know what his past is, or if he gets along with cats at this stage, and they did not know either...... I do like pitbulls a lot.......though...but if I ever got one, it would have to be a puppy, so we know it through and through and put our love into the dog....so nothing today.... I know the right dog will find us or we will find him or her eventually. I also fell in love with an old orange tabby cat....and wanted him, but he has HVI and needs special care, and if he ever scratched or bit any other animal here, they could get infected........The poor cat kept trying to get to me from behind the window and would not stop looking in my eyes,. It was so sad and hard for me for me to walk away.
I just wanted to toss out some info you may want to look up and consider...I've had this discussion about feline leukemia (isn't that HVI?) and getting vaccines for my cats...I 1st started discussing the one I thought had it, but wasn't there with us that day...Anyway - I was told by a wonderful caring vet asst (and my vet confirmed) that if the vaccine is given to a positive cat of course it won't take the leukemia away but it will render the cat unable to infect others. Older cats with this need inside homes... You may probably want to discuss this with your vet...its just a thought. I'v had all my cats vaccinated, which I was willing to do ONLY because this vaccine uses a dormant/non-active virus. Unlike the distemper vaccine which uses a live virus. (I won't have mine vaccinated for distemper as I've had a cat die in less than a week after receiving one...then I found out they use a live virus for that. )
Life is handing me some lemons. Lots of lemons accually. Have no choice but to eat them. Eating them slowly and softly. Eating them smiling. It'll work out.
Right Now I'm Trying To Post In The "Cosby Thread"...... I Put The Key In The Lock......But The Locks Been Locked.....LOL... : Cheers Glen.
Puuuter Is Making A Roaring Sound Sometimes.....So.....For The First Time In 12 Years GLEN Got Out His Minature Socket Set And Opened The Old Girl Up.....Not A Lot To See In There Really...... I Expected It To Be "Choc A Bloc" ( i hope chock can't be construed as racist)..... Seems The Cooling Fan Has Dry Bearings And Whilst I Have A Collection Of New Fans They Are All 12 volt And I Assume All Puuuter Fans Are 5 Volt.....So I Just Vaccumed The Fins Of The CPU And Left It At That. Years Ago The Builder Couldn't Believe I Hadn't Taken A Sneak Look Inside.....Well Now I Have..... Only Took 12 Years.... : Cheers Glen.
It's Back......But With Warnings Of Certain Death If Peeps Cross The Line This Time Around...... Cheers Glen.

oh my...that was Skip's thread wasn't it? Without going and looking that's what I'm thinking. I wish I'd combed that thread the other day...even if I was on the most special new laptop and can't get the posting box to show for me.
Hello. Thanks, Orison....My brother has intense dark brown eyes. My father had brown eyes, too. I have green-gold-grey eyes depending on what i am wearing...My mom had blue eyes....and yes, looks like drinking took a toll there on that singer. Spaceman, I thought about poodles, too....as I like that curly hair thing on dogs......so hence the airedale...whichi always liked anyway......Stan says a mutt he falls in love with, which is the main thing, anyway.....as this dog will be his companion, but of course, i always put my two cents in, as i will be a major caretaker here, too.....but labradoodle sounds wonderful. Lynn, my cats are all vaccinated for leukemia and everything else under the sun, as well...it was some 3 letters yesterday and I asked what that was and was told a disease where there is no immune system, and then about the scratching or biting any other cat..... Now, as far as what i am doing...posting here.....and then going to eat a bowl of vanilla ice cream with mixed berry jam on it......bosenberry, raspberry, blackberry, blueberry......lol
