I am, without a doubt, speaking about books. I prefer the "cut version" of everything else, especially since the cut version doesn't affect the length.
I looked it up on Wikipedia and it does look good. I'll look for it next time I'm at the bookstore. Thanks!
I'm in the midst of book 9 of the series I keep yakking about here... Winter's Heart by Robert Jordan (Prior to deciding to become a writer, he was a nuclear engineer...just a little info about this fantastic writer.)
The Secret Life of Lady Liberty: Goddess in the New World, Robert Hieronimus and Laura E. Cortner This is about the Statue of Liberty and her ties to the Native Americans, the Earth Mother, Roman Goddesses, Black Madonnas and Mary Magdalene.
I finished re-reading parts of Parliament of Whores by P.J. O'Rourke. It's quite dated by now, at least the specifics are. The general hopelessness of government, however, seems to have changed little. Anyone interested in how government really works should give it a try, it's a good book to start with. Plus it's funny.
Charles Groenhuysen - Americans are not crazy (about Bush and baseball, crime and millionaires, churches and casinos, porn and politics)
The World Of Chess by Anthony Saidy and Norman Lessing. It chronicles the history of the game's development and tells stories about some of the characters involved in chess through the centuries. Interesting read.
