I think that it is a series that has to be read fairly quickly, otherwise it is easy to lose the plotlines and get kind of confused. I'm really liking it so far, but there have been certain parts that I have found to be pretty boring. Overall, I really like it, though!
Hello, just started with the first part of Sherlock Holmes The Complete Novels and Stories: Regards Gyro
I picked up Game of Thrones today. Judging by the first few pages I think it may take a while to really get into it
Isn't it called A song of ice and fire anymore? If not you probably got the latest print or something Anyway, I was instantly sold. Ok not just by that prologue with the white walker but definitely after the other 2 parts (wildling execution by 'righteous' Eddard and of course the happening in the tower that hugely impacts Bran's life) :cheers2:
Flatland was very imaginative. I think I read Moby Dick. Huck Finn long ago. I've read the entire Sherlock Holmes series. Currently up: The Discoverers: A History of Man's Search to Know His World and Himself. BBB...that Planet Intelligence book reminds me of The Secret Life of Plants
I was kind of confused myself so I looked it up before buying it and according to whichever site I clicked on first it said Game of Thrones is the first book in the song of ice and fire series. So did that title come out after the tv show? I think I'm still confused
Oooh sorry for the confusion, no I did not think of the individual book titles Yeah, seems the tv series is named after the first book. How far are you in it? You're not yet intrigued after the part in the tower!!1!? Could it be the interest is lacking because you already know what the events are leading to because of the tv series? Or is it the writing style on itself?
I was reading "Hope to Die" by James Patterson, but I finished it. I haven't gotten around to finding a new book to read.
Rereading all of Butcher's Harry Dresden series. One of my guilty pleasures authors. Light and funny, usually.
