^^^i hear you on the incest thing. i've come across that in a couple of his books - never understood the point in it.. so what? i've never read it. i've read several books from Heinlein's "juvenile series" as an adult, and enjoyed them just fine.
I enjoyed it as a kid - I think maybe it might have been the first sci-fi book I ever read. I can still loosely recall the plot. You'll probably like it now.
i think 3 of the other books i listed by Heinlein are also from the juvenile series... the first book (and maybe the best) that i ever read by him was The Moon is a Harsh Mistress. and my other post was a lie, as i'm currently finishing up Heinlein's Assignment in Eternity - a compilation of 4 short stories. then i'm gonna start with Dhalgren or Methusela's Children
I'm strugglin somewhere halfway in The name of the rose by Umberto Eco. It is a great book that imerges you in the middle ages and the mindset of the people but it is really not an easy read. I can imagine if he would go to a publicer nowadays an editor would advise him to break up all these long winded sentences
'At Play in the Fields of the Lord' - Peter Matthiesen. A novel about gringos and Indians in the S.American jungle.
Just finished reading Gardens of the Moon, by Steven Erikson, and am starting The Lies of Locke Lamora, by Scott Lynch.
Finished that one, now on to The Heart of the Matter , by Graham Greene. My goal is to read 36 books in 2015, so I'm now at 1/36.
