Pandora's Picnic Basket: The potential and hazards of genetically modified food.

Also, What Every American Should Know About Who's Really Running the World. I've kind of given up on that one though, its very biased. I can't deal with investigative journalism that uses elements of language and and the manipulation of fact in order to manipulate the reader. I feel like its an insult to my intelligience.

^ I loved that book...and I'm not so sure that some of King's stuff doesn't have an element of truth in it. :sunny:

Cat's Cradle by Kurt Vonnegut. It definitely isn't my favorite of his so far, but a very enjoyable read nnetheless.

    Brave New World.

I'm also reading "The EveryGirl's Guide to Life" by maria menounos. It's not a book for girls; there's a lot of great tips for anyone. I'm using her organization tips to help clean out the garage, and my gf is using her workout tips.

    I a reading a few works currently:

    1. Vector and Tensor Analysis by Wrede- a graduate school text in mathematics that primes you to understand Special and General Relativity in an advanced manner.

    2. Basic and Clinical Pharmacology- a text on intermediate pharmacology (how drugs work).

    3. god is Not Great (Hitchens)- a book about the dangers of organized religion. It is a very controversial book. I agree with most of it, but Hitchens is a little to extreme at times.

    4. Junky (Burroughs)- just finished it. I am an opioid addict in recovery, so I found this raw account of addiction very relevant and informative.

I am going to probably read a book on Rational Emotive Therapy soon (I liked the two I have read so far, by A. Ellis), as well as another work by Burroughs, perhaps Naked Lunch.

I have that book, and really like it a lot. I really like the recipes that she shares, and am also benefiting from the makeup tips.
