Yah it was good, it's basically like an extended mescaline trip report with references to concepts of art, philosophy, psychology, spirituality, etc. The Writing style felt slightly dated but it was very interesting to get perspective on psychedelics prior to the hippie culture.
A Dance With Dragons - George RR Martin. I'm usually not into fantasy but this series is absolutely amazing.
Curious, did you read Huxley's "Heaven and Hell" as well? It fits nicely with Doors of Perception and some of the concepts are similar.
Imprisoned: The Betrayal of Japanese Americans during World War II by Martin W. Sandler OnlyNon Fiction- -especially history - just started this-
I find myself bizarrely interested in this horrible time in our history. What pompous asses we are is all I can think...yet still want to know. I'd be very interested in how you find this book to be written.
Hi, Lynn. A friend of mine showed me his 20,000 dollar check for being interred. Anyway, just finished a Sandra Brown mystery.
odd, that. yet another fact to add to my collection on that time. I've read Sandra Brown in the past and seems I enjoyed it well enough. lol
I read Doors of Perception online, I don't think it contained Heaven and Hell. I recall looking up the page numbers of Doors of Perception prior to reading it and saw a couple varied in page numbers, so that probably explains it.
Nice tea cup, nice cardy. I have been reading 'Planet Ponzi' by Mitch Ferierstien. I think the guy is nuts. He's right, we're headed for another financial crash. The current financial set up is a con. A huge Ponzi Scheme. He's wrong IMO in thinking neo liberal principles can be the solution. I was with him up to the chapter where he eulogizes Mrs. Thatcher. There, I'm afraid, we parted company completely. And as to his chums in the current British gov. - cunts the whole lot.
Love yourself like your life depended on it its a short book and mostly self help mumbo jumbo but I'm enjoying it
