I enjoyed it, but I can't see myself ever giving it a second read. There isn't that much subtlety to miss, and it wasn't that amazingly written. It seems that I enjoyed the book mostly because of the tension of not knowing where it was going, and of the underlying symbolism and ideas presented.
sick book, man. have you read homage to catalonia or down and out in paris and london? gotta love Orwell. currently reading Hawksmoor- Peter Ackroyd, and lovin' it.
Hello, just started Among the Bohemians written by Virginia Nicholson. I skimmed over the pictures and drawings in the book. It promises to be an interesting read. Regards Gyro
Not yet, read animal farm though, another good one. Down and out in paris and london is next on my Orwell list though
HELLS yeah, i only got into him this year, shamefully late. i wanna get some arthur machen on, too. supposedly lovecraft's biggest influence, even more so than Poe and MR james.
I was earlier with my first (and only one so far...) Lovecraft though It was also a bunch of short stories. Great read! I should read some more sometime.
i guess you can say craig furgesons last book. it was the last book i read, that was about 6 months ago. so far i finished the first chapter.
The Adventures of Tom Sawyer/Huckleberry Finn Sawyer was enjoyable but tedious at times; Huckleberry Finn is amazing and I can't wait to finish.
I like to read many books at once, so that I can read a chapter at a time and "channel-surf".
