What Are You a Snob About?

i'm not really a snob about anything, because i realize that i know very little about most things. some people i just plain dont like, though. i guess you could say i'm a personality snob, because i generally decide within the first five minutes of talking to someone whether or not i like them. that doesn't affect how i treat them though, and it sometimes changes. i can be very judgemental but i usually keep it to myself, because past experience has shown me to be a horrible judge of character.

I can be somewhat snobby when it comes to food, as well.

i work at a movie store, and there are a few people who onlyu seem to rent foreign films. they are HUGELY snobby about it, like watching a movie filmed in french or german or japanese makes you a better person than watching something that was filmed in english thats of the same storyline quality. fucking asses. they look down their nose at me when im at the till helping them if they overhead me discussing an english flick with someone previously (even something genuinely good or cute or awesome like say ratatouille which was adorable or sin city or serenity or children of men)

 

Oh foreign movie buffs are so snobby. Oft tend to like movies just based on their nationality, things like Chakushin Ari Or ju On. They complain about the remakes of crappy movies like those sucking.

 

I am a huge snob about snobby people.

 

I will watch anything made in Sweden, regardless of if it's shit or not.

Like I said. People are snobs about what their passionate about. I don't think it's a bad thing.

I like Pressed rat a lot actually, considering I disagree with him on about everything.

He's at least direct, and he can be pretty funny.

I was purposefully being a jackass in making this thread. I was over-exaggerating my snobbiness just to make the thread more interesting.

I notice how you direct this post just at me and not at anyone else in the four pages of dialogue who express their opinions and judgements.

I used to be a bit of a music/movie/book/general culture snob-elitist. But I've grown-out of it. I'm more cool about it now.. and won't talk to someone just because they listen to this band and have seen this and that and.. you know. That's a tad immature.. and you could miss out a lot coming from different people you wouldn't think were so cool.. you wouln't think how much you'd like them.. yet.. and vice-verca. Someone can be your clone as far as taste goes, they could just be the shittiest person alive..
