go ahead and line up support before your baby arrives. It doesn't have to be LLL or IBCLC, it can be a friend or relative or even someone you barely know who managed to successfully breastfeed no less than twelve months (I personally found those who weaned before the first birthday to be less supportive and not much help at all). If you can find someone who did nurse, in spite of major problems, that would be even better because she might have some tricks in case you run into difficulties.
