How does one determine the pros and cons to something that has not yet even existed? All you can do is speculate.

A one-government world will come eventually if our current society/empire continues. If not volutarily, then by force. This is progress, the world becomes a smaller place and we've been pretty close to something similar a few times in the past. Eventually it will also come down, as goes with everything.

I don't see any real cons or pros, it's all pure speculation.
Will resources be used to explore the universe? To feed and house everyone? Or to make the rich even richer?

It all depends which way this government will be heading and we can't know that.

No, the even richer rich will take unto themselves either will of greed, or the concerned direction for natural scientific awareness lead by the madd masses wanting to hold onto the financially desperate situations. This will be megalopolis gone to the uncontrolled state of Anarchy.

This way I'm against the one government world. Yeah...

The only way that would work is if we lived in a resource based economy. Greed is a man made problem. What would be the need to steal from the weak if everyone can have access to what they need and want?

a govenment to restrict governments and impartially enforce international law, need not and would not likely be, a one world government. it would merely be the only government capable of representing all of the planet among other worlds in our galaxy.

the only regulations of the private life of the individual should come from each and every local community, and only from each and every local community.

regional governments are concerned with environment and infrastructure, and protecting individual rights to move from one community to another.

an international government would protect these same rights between nations.

the whole idea of ruling is backwards. the existence of governments is justified by the services they provide. an international intermediary would be no less bound by the same obligation.

there are no pros to a world controlled by unilateral interests, there are no cons to an infinite federation of serving to coordinate a diversity encouraged and protected by it.

The pro's and cons of a one government world. We can share all the abundant oil energy from wherever we need it at a more flexible time basis. Synchronicity for selected sources at materialistically determined causes is no longer required for "selfish" gas and oil depositories. Instead the immediate affording of oil is mercifully developed by the other community in Need. Immediacy can exist without synchronicity (left to merely ordinary relating of psychic heart).

This pro is con if one is a physics specialist, and the physics specialist will take convenience for subject of scientific interest at leisure. Leisure being conceptualized by justice was the pro- for the physics specialist. Justice however is a con- for it is no longer questioned by the dealer.

    global warming issues...
    etc.
I know this will never happen, but in a perfect world everyone would come together to keep the world environement clean....oceans, endangered species, ......etc.....
We all live on this world....and the environment affects everyone the same.....

Okay, I got ya. Hm, yea I see what you mean and I think if it was the perfect world government that had everyone's best interests in mind--kinda a utopian thing, then I agree. I just don't trust (some people's) human nature enough to believe that is what would happen if a one world government were to occur. For two reasons- first being that even if it was the best intended people running things in the beginning....well, absolute power corrupts absolutely and I don't think it would take too long for someone or someones to have a huge power trip and mess everything up. And secondly with a true one world government if the government was bad, corrupt, whatever you wanna call it...by having that much control they could do some pretty scary things.

But yea... if everyone just lived as "world citizens", "citizens of earth"....and worked together for common goals that truly benefited everyone and the planet, that would be great and best for the environment. (But it doesn't take much to see this isn't the world we live in).
