Avoid Slough. Slough is a dump, it has this concrete lump right bang in the centre of Town. The british rail station, Slough has many downfalls, urine soaked walls and Friday night brawl blood pasted on the platform. the only evidence to the cause is a bottle of cheap booze with an expiry date 01/04/87. As far as entertainment goes, the entertainment is getting out of Slough. That is the fun part. My second best place to live would have to be Uxbridge. It has two shopping centres and a megaplex cinema featuring 9 screens of movie bliss. There is a local cafe by Costas outside Uxbridge station and only five minutes away is a lovely endless ocean of pure fields. Welcome to the boundary of london. With the Grand union canal, it makes the place pleasurable in the summer. Good pubs enroute
LOL a lot ! Yeah and the police tend to view you with a lot of favour, also, if you do live in that area other people in Britain are so impressed that they actually pay money to you so that you can swan around in a couple of cheuffeur driven bulletproof limo's. The place is very safe with police so concerned about the safety of residents there is actually 10 police officers per square foot. If you can put up with all the tourists there life will be a doddle otherwise the downing street area is a dump as the neighbours are all criminals awaiting trial. The yobbo, John Prescott is waiting for trial on assault charges, and his cohorts have been either war criminals, or dipping their fingers in the till down at the local Palace of Westminster and the treasury. I would say normally such an area should be avoided but as these are high class criminals they may not hassle you so much
