Nothing is free in this world, you are promoting the name of the providing company and they are the ones getting a free platform for their promotions and advertising. For a small outlay. about £2 per annum, you can purchase your domain and run it on outlook. If you do not want the expense of static IP and running your own server 24/7, your internet provider can host it, allowing you to download emails to your system and access via their webmail. Most small contracts allow up to 12 usernames on your domain address.
I've had a Yahoo email account for about 24 years now. They don't seem to mind that I run adblockers either.
