What Are/Have You Been Doing Today.?

Thought I'd troll the forum a bit and see what's up. Nice reading updates on ppls. =) I hope you are all doing well. Life has been nutso! Teaching is going well, but I don't think I'd do it again in the near future... after kiddos have gotten a bit older, I think I could dedicate the time and not feel guilty. But got offered another job on Friday that allows me to do both until the semester finishes in dec and then I think I'll just stick to that job. Teaching is stressful!

 

hey all... its been a while since ive posted. i wanted to come and give and update and say hi to everbody.

i'm going to MassArt and super busy with school projects. I'm drawing a lot and painting a lot and I'm doing t-shirts for some garage bands in the area. school is really interesting and engaging and ive never been so happy to be studying and practicing.

also, there are a bunch of people at my school who act like kids and they spend all their time on facebook and twitter and do the bare minimum to get by with a passing grade. its really sad. and then there still all the shallow bullshit from highschool. just now instead of the "jocks" its the "hipsters" or the kid with the biggest ear gauge.

and so also everyday when im in boston, especially at school, i see a bunch of people with dreadlocks. and theyre all fake. a bunch of freshly backcombed waxy dreads, and also a bunch with long ass crochet dreads(edit:i also see enough natural dreads, just they tend to be more around roxbury area for some reason). and thats not even the worst. its that all these so called open-minded art school kids take one look and think youve got weed for sale or that you come to class high as a kite.

and then even worse is the bullshit i get from people thinking im going to give them free design work, or illustrate their crappy novel for free, or do their band shirts pro bono... why? so i have the honor of building my portfolio? fuck that noise.

all over the place i find people who prefer relationships of convenience and complacency to any kind of surprise or passion.


this sounds like a rant... but i intend to change a lot of this attitude problem. at least around my school and the surrounding community. i promise not to get frustrated when people ask me how much wax i put in my hair, or where can i get my weed, or if i want to be facebook friends. i am going to make little gestures of kindness everyday, constantly generous and always polite, im going use my geurilla art tactics to grow positive vibes. im going to stay real and present and live in the now. im going to smile, breath deep and lead by example.


also, if it wasnt super obvious. im really fucking horny. and i need to get laid this week or im going to spraypaint the words "fuck me" on the doors of city hall.

Went to a local aboriginal art gallery a little bit out of town. Spoke to the people for a while, then bought myself a lovely didgeridoo with a great sound. I'll post some pictures sometime soon

 

I'm feeling oddly motivated today, I woke up at 6:00 AM and was just instantly awake.
This is good because I have a lot of homework to do today. Whoohoo!

 

I gott up at 1pm and it's the lasted I've gotten up for.. months and months I hate sleeping in past 11 >< But I do have ideas for more reserach for uni so that's good. I'll be raping the printer today printing it all out ¬¬

 

Worked myself up into tears about thinking about working tonight. I'd fucking quit if I could but we need the money and so far, no fucking job positions I've applied for have gotten back to me except one but I'm not hopeful.
If husband realised his pipe dream of a guitar business was not working due to him being too lazy to run his own gotdam business and got a full time job, I could quit and not have to worry about money while I search for a new job.

I'm not strong enough right now to deal with the shit I am currently getting. Fuck I have to beg my husband to stay with me while I do my shift because I'm terrified while I'm in this emotional mess.

tl;dr
I'm fucking miserable in my job and I can't quit because nowhere else will call me in for an interview despite having a stellar CV.

 

Got a new job at new Doggie Daycare where I am spending more time with the dogs. Again just kept my dreads in a bun and it was good to go and got the job. School work and work is what's been up. Loving the Arizona life been here two months and loving everyday. Getting pictures loaded this week and cant wait to share them. Dreads looking the same as my last post, they are just growing a bit.

Heading to Palm Spring CA in a couple weeks.

 

Went downtown to the book stores. Some dude was trying to hit on me. I clammed up and almost started having a panic attack. He said he noticed I was getting self conscious then he left. I just got up with my son and stayed by my husband.

Ate some pastor and asada tacos too. Found out my favorite burrito place is no longer in this city or state.

Just found a ball of scotch egg meat disguised as a falafel in my box of falafels....

I would be so chuffed to get a scotch egg in my falafel.

Once my mate got a battered sausage made of fish after a good session of drinking, he was ill the next day.

I've been gone but am back, I started college so have been super busy. They are piling on the work..,,I wanna post pictures later my dreads have gotten longggg and I grew out my side cut x

Yea I think I will from now on. Though I have 2 more packs of those falafels in the freezer... I'll be super paranoid now with them >< Didn't get to ring them up today

 

Just handed in (or rather negotiated) my notice at work, so I'll be cutting back to 15 hours a week from the 22nd, feels good man.

 

Worked today, was tired but now I fancy going to the pub ^^

 

What a night! I Ended up holding the punters hostage after some gypsies came in and started threatening the fuck out of us. Fuck!
