Inland North. I have no idea how any American accents sound like or how they're distinguishable except southern and Alaskan thanks to Sarah Palin.
i have to admit, where i live, we call it pop. soda sounds weird, and i lived in new england for a little while, and ppl kept asking me for a coke, and i would get a coke, and then they would tell me that they want a dr pepper. im like wtf??? you said coke! they would call all carbonated beverages cokes. I had to learn to ask, ok, what KIND of coke do you want? i felt stupid. but yeah, pop does sound dumb. but what can i say? only what im used to! lol
What American accent do you have?Your Result: Philadelphia Your accent is as Philadelphian as a cheesesteak! If you're not from Philadelphia, then you're from someplace near there like south Jersey, Baltimore, or Wilmington. if you've ever journeyed to some far off place where people don't know that Philly has an accent, someone may have thought you talked a little weird even though they didn't have a clue what accent it was they heard. Right A friend of mine has a girlfriend who's from Philly, I definitely don't sound like her. I sound like a silly foreigner who's been in the UK for too long.
What American accent do you have?Your Result: The Inland North You may think you speak "Standard English straight out of the dictionary" but when you step away from the Great Lakes you get asked annoying questions like "Are you from Wisconsin?" or "Are you from Chicago?" Chances are you call carbonated drinks "pop."

I do the same thing. Grew up in Denver Colorado, moved to nowheresville Kentucky in high school....Raised by former stoner hippies. I switch back and forth from mountain man, hillbilly and stoner hippy. All depending on who I'm talking to and how much 'erb I smoked that day.
