there is no such thing as the devil. are you baptist? cause i remember my sister dating one who said all this shit what the devil.. like even just looking at your horoscope. which it is NOT. EDIT: this is for the person who quoted me
hey there's no need to be disrespectful man! if naturs his bag let him do it. hey mytik maybe you should be an herbalist... u know like a holistic healer? my mom works for a company called natures sunshine. it doesnt get her outta here but maybe theyll send you to get the herbs or discover new one or practice holistic medicine in other cultures. you would need to go a colledge probobly. dont let the assholes get ya down i think its a great aspiration
Bush regeneration. I don't know what it's called where you're from, but it involves removing weeds from forests so only native vegetation remains and the forest returns to its natural state.
the best piece of advice i can give you is get an education first so you have something to fall back on later in life .........but as far as living the norms of society there is nothing that says you can't live alongside society and live your own lifestyle ..that.s what i did and still do .i may be considered an oddball but at least in the immortal words of frank sinatra I DID IT MY WAY......
teh-horace: I remember seeing the documentary on that guy from Alaska- he was amazing. I can't imagine being that self sustaining.
My aunt lives in a yurt 10 months out of the year making t-shirts and jewelry which she sells at a california convention the other 2 months. You could also try working for those nature magazines or national geographic (if you like to write articles or take pictures) although you might need a degree in something just to prove yourself. If you're lucky enough you get sent to cool remote places. But whatever you do, make sure your heart's in it or that you're at least doing it for something other than money.
before you tell him to move to alaska and live like that guy did ......don't forget one thing ....that guy was #1 an engineer ..#2 had outside help
And #3 he died. But, you gotta have equipment, nome sayin'. You gotta get the gear, and maby try a warmer climate. Btw, engineering won't help much in the wilderness, and the outside help didn't go with him, at least I don't think so.
I'm sure the woods in Canada are something really beautiful.you must follow your dreams However, think about what you're gonna work, and the college is or isn't imoprtant for that
i would say try things out. im thinking the same way u are. i have no clue wat i wanan do, but i have the same interests as you. and what is that guys name who lived in alaska? i wanna read about him. peace~
All you need to survive are food, water, and shelter. Sex and companionship are optional. You could live on the Continental Divide Trail year round. Hike north in the spring, and south in the fall. You'll need to come up with money for equipment maintenance. You could earn a little income by growing pot along the trail and selling it to the locals. Otherwise, you could drink spring water, eat off the land, and sleep in a tent.
Since it was said the guy in Alaska who died I think the book would be Into the Wild by John Krakauer
