If there is anybody in the Western NY area (I live in the Southern Towns of Buffalo) that like some beer, send me a message. I have a batch of homebrewed Scottish Ale that I would like some opinions on. I think it turned out fairly well, but I like to know what others think. Also, if anybody is interested doing some homebrewing, let me know. It is always nice to have somebody to help and to just talk to while it is boiling. You would definitely be stocked with some good beer afterwards.
hey tubahead, i live closer to rochester than buffalo, but i brewed some of my own beer too. i used a "mr. beer" kit which kinda sucks, so it didn't turn out the greatest. i have some other acquaintances/friends that actually home brew (not using a kit) i kinda think i'll stick to buying my beer
I tried a beer made with a Mr. Beer kit once. I definitely have to agree with your assessment. Now where's the fun in just buying your beer? Sure, all it takes is a trip to the store, but I mean, when you brew it, you get 5 gallons at once.
mr beer makes just 2 gallons, and it lasts forever (because it's not so tasty haha) i've got ingredients for 2 more rounds of making it (i did 2 already, saved the better flavors for last)
Well I guess no one wants to try my beer. The invitation always stands though. I always have way more than I can drink. Also, if anybody wants to just hang out and listen to some records, I am always looking for some people to listen to music with. I have a pretty good vinyl collection and a decent stereo and there is a bar in my basement. My wife and I moved to area a few months ago and I am looking to meet some new people.
will soon by an NY resident, got a job offer in lower manhattan, don't know where I'll end up lower west 70's, but who knows.
Buffalo! Amherst/Williamsville area, soon gonna be moving to Lancaster, but still gonna be in Amherst a lot
Did this ever take off? It sounds like a great idea so I hope it did. I'm just curious, though. Some elements of this arrangement are not for me. I'm too private of a person.
