Legalized hate crime, as far as I'm concerned. How can you protest something that doesn't affect you or anyone else in any way? I guess we'll have to wait until one these nutjobs gets tired of just "protesting" and hurts someone.
And as more people grow tired of hearing about their delusional protests, they probably will hurt someone in order to get the attention they crave.
Can we just forget about these guys? godhatesfags.com is funny the first time you see it.... but it's still meh. The onion could do better, some of it gets pretty tired sounding. They are exercising their free speech, but they're clearly not protesting. Why? Because they're all about thanking god for the things he does to americans: they think it's just great, and they're just there to tell you that they think it's just great that god hates you. So what? Feel sorry for them.... that's what. Although it's amazing, some places people's kids get taken up like nothing and shuffled around, but CPS can't kick these guys doors in? Anyone has the right to free speech, but that includes things like porn, so that you have the right to free speech and to raise your kid as you see fit does not mean you can do that shit to them, any more than it means you can have them on a porno set.... Free speech still has appropriate and inappropriate audiences and speakers, and coaching your kids into that hateful shit should be grounds for SOME sort of action.
Looks like Anonymous is going after Westboro https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IHLQTB00j3E"]Anonymous- Message To The Westboro Baptist Church - YouTube
If someone committed a mass murder at a WBC meeting, killing a bunch of those freakazoids, would the survivors picket their funerals praising it as God's judgment? Hey, it's only fair, let's be consistent.
I think anonymous has done that like a dozen times now All that happened is that they got some publicity and interviews, with that stupid bitch smiling in her more-than-slightly-insane, very self satisfied way, talking about gods judgement and how the children messing with their website would get it, because wbc was godly, blah blah blah. And anonymous lost interest, cause there's like 30 wbc people, and once you start looking, you realize they're just whiny emotionally screwed up douchebags, and that the only reason they have any power or sway is because people look at them, people report on them, and that nasty pastors nasty wife gets to grin on camera and tell everybody how much they love warning america that it's a fag nation, and totally fucked. Seriouly, if people just ignored them, they wouldn't go away but they would be irellivent. They only have relivence because we give it to them.
This story says counter-protesters, some bikers, caused Westboro Baptist to leave Sandy Hook where they were staying, getting ready to protest at the school principal's funeral. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/...p00000003&utm_hp_ref=fb&src=sp&comm_ref=false
It's nice that the public is finally sick to death of WBC and doing something to help keep them away. Free speech or not, they've made their point that they celebrate the deaths of others (sick as that is) and to be allowed to keep doing it every time there is a tragedy is too much. I'm still just waiting until they themselves start killing people so they can say God told them to do it. It's really only a matter of time, crazy people always escalate when left to their own devices.
+ rep.... Cheers Glen. EDIT:- Puuuter Says We Have Had Too Many Good Times Together. I Owe You One....
It looks like maybe Anonymous did get Westboro Baptist. Their website is down and I found this news: "A group attached to the online hacktivist group Anonymous claims to have hacked the Web site of the Westboro Baptist Church in response to plans by the controversial church to picket the funerals of those massacred Friday at a school in Newtown, Conn. As part of a campaign dubbed #OpWestBoro, KY Anonymous said yesterday it posted the personal information belonging to members of the extremist organization, which is best known for conducting protests designed to disrupt the funerals of members of the military killed in action. The data dump included the names, phone numbers, e-mail addresses, and physical addresses of dozens of alleged members of the religious organization. The group did not indicate where or how it acquired the data." http://news.cnet.com/8301-1023_3-57...westboro-baptist-church-after-newtown-threat/

I was never a fan of the Westboro Baptist Church. http://ofallon.patch.com/articles/o-fallon-approves-ordinance-limiting-funeral-protests Some might consider that an infringement on their first amendment rights, but I do not care. As far as I am concerned, they do not deserve rights.
