So we've got a buncha people that are going to be on time going nowhere so far?

I wish I could help, but I don't know a whole lot about the west coast and everybodys locations. I'm in Indiana, so I'm down to go wherever.

Don't know if you know Eddy Lepp, but he's quite the character and has a big "family" house in Upper Lake. He owns this huge field across from the house (which was filled with 36,000 mj plants until the feds came and STOLE IT!). That is the location of this big party which he holds every year.

Unfortunately the big drawback is no alcohol. Eddy's real strict on that as he helps recovering alkies. Just bring your own "medicine" as he says for a great time!

Jack Herrer will be there too.

    So whatcha think of that?

Oh, you can find out more about Eddy's activities by going to his site:

Well, dang it, that's too bad, I was excited about the possibility of meeting ya. Maybe you can come up to Seattle for the Hemp Fest the third weekend of August? Are you still around then?

And I'm hoping steffan's potential place works out. It sounds perfect. I'm bringing a drum, a diggeridoo, the boy has a guitar and harmonica. Along with some mood enhancers and our sweet selves. Can't wait! [IMG]

We'll be bringing ourselves and as many goodies as we can fit...If we're not having to worry about strict camping, it might help us out a bit...

Hey Tara, I was thinking we might possibly caravan so we could fit Fleassy and possibly Psyche and maybe a couple of others in as well...

I went to that bbq sunday, ya''ll are realy gonna like this spot, theres a corral hidden behind the trees and horse stalls that hasnt seen a horse in 20 years, should be perfect for tents :) theres a deadend street on one side so all parking is well off the road, and we will have access to the barn.
a few people accidentely got invited :) hope ya'll dont mind, they are aware that it is a "privete" function tho so we shouldnt get to crowded

    diggit,
i'll pm everyone who responds to this my phone numbers a few weeks before time, if any one happens to show a few days early they can help me do a little getting ready, we might want to grade the corral a bit, maybe wheelbarrow over some sand for a nice soft bed,

I'm glad there's a day and place now! I was wanting to go to Reggae on the River too though, maybe I can come a day late. This came first though, so I'll definately be there, hopefully I can do them both! Thanks all of you who put this together.

Okay, so what should people plan on bringing? Camping gear of course, musical instruments if you have them, board games, cameras naturally, things to exchange such as books, but what about food? Will it be vegetarian or should we plan on a barbecue? What will be needed for food and cooking utensils? Will we be cooking over a fire, and if so should we bring firewood?

I'm a hippie boy scout, I want to be prepared!

I'd like to start preparing as well.

As far as I know, we've got a vegan and her three children coming. And my family is meat-eating, as is Tara's family. Fleassy's a meat-eater. If psyche can make it, she's a veggie.

We could make this rainbow-style. Or not...

As far as what we need of bulk-items, if we're needing lots of one thing, I know I have a costco membership (for like bulk meats and stuff).

Other things to consider...are there any swimming opportunities? water holes and such? Anyone got spare room in their tents or extra tents for maybe the stragglers (or foreign travellers) that don't have a tent themselves? What about children's activities.

So, lots of things to consider...and all so exciting! :D

We will be bringing a little boat that can be put on the ground and made into a little wading / swimming pool for the kiddies, if there's not a swimming hole. Is there a water spigot? - if so we will bring a garden hose for that. Is there a place to put the boat in the water around there? Like a lake? It's not really a river boat.

As far as the camping, we are coming self sufficient. We could bring an extra pup tent and some blankets, but that's about all the extra we've got. And we will have to be packed to the hilt to contain our stuff in one car / boat with the teenager along (figured this out over Memorial Day camping - we are pretty spoiled campers[IMG]). And it's an 8 hour drive for us. I don't know if we will have Friday off, so we might be getting there rather late Friday night. But we are for sure coming. It will be a blast - I LOVE camping.[IMG]
