Besides that one man I've never slept with anyone who wouldn't marry me and I'll be on the pill in the future and not trust condoms to make sure I am never in that situation again and honestly if I don't love somone or don't see in their eyes that they love me I can't sleep with them it's hard for me. I'm too protective of myself. Come to think of it he said he loved me but he was the only man who I couldn't tell from looking into his eyes that he did. Next time I am trusting my instincts I can always tell how somone feels about me by looking at them.

you bash men and all this and yet you 'know' what they feel and are so sure of yourself. I'm sorry but that sounds like a bunch of horse shit to me to justify your point. You've already said you can never truly know someone and play games and cover themselves. If you said you will never have sex unless you are married I'd believe you- but even Pills fail. Sorry chica

I don't bash men. I love men. I bash immature, unhonorable little boys in a man's body.

    What's marriage/'honor code'/other crap got to do w/all this?
    The obligation of Child support
    is based on paternity (suppositively)
    regardless of marital status...

Know what a 'profit center' is?

Some of yall really don't know the ins n outs of child support/visitation
    ...at least not round here.
Support starts at either 15% net/25% gross wages (I've seen both ways) for the first child.
In addition health insurance is normally provided by the noncustodial parent.
Judges can/have been known to increase these amounts/requirements.
    Visitation is automatically reasonable.

    Bottom Line?
It all depends on who has the best liar/deepest pockets...

exactly and what does a day laborer without a college degree make-like 1000 a month out there? so that's 250 a month...shit that isn't even enough for diapers...so yeah women really have the 'advantage' in these situations...we really have 'all the choices'

Ok - lets get real blunt here..... I work 3 days a week ( the only days I have a babysitter) I make about 6.50/hr on days I'm not serving. Then days I serve go up and down as to what I make. Treys dad isn't here right now- not because he doesn't want to be but because of a really fucked up situation. I MAKE IT! WITH THAT! I get medicaid insurance and WIC and I still make it. I'm very proud of that. I get no money other than what I make. Granted yes, my mom is letting me stay at her house and that helps a lot. But she doesn't buy anything for my son.

right and I assumed you had personal investments in this, as did I. I applaud you for making a good life for your child. My mom did the same I'm not bashing single mothers and I am not going to say anymore because you need to think the way you do right now and so I'm out. I admire you:)

    Try $400-800.
    That's actually pretty Good pay.
Oh, WTF is that jazz bout 'day laborer' and 'without a college degree'?
    Truely that clueless?

Do the math from both sides of the fence.
Don't leave out the court orderd health insurance - the very insurance that many of the HF Supporters do not have.
Do compensate for the socio-economic class of the Folks.
ie: diapers normally cost less than $250/mon cuz that's all the money there is - divorced/married

    OTOH, forget it.
You haven't a clue as to what the R/L really is.

I mean it the reason I think the way i do because I am not as strong as my mom or you are. I would not be able to handle being a single parent. I would need the father to marry me or I would lose my mind. I'm not independent enough to handle a responsibility like that on my own or to love another being more then myself without a partner to encourage and inspire me. So to be your own self's inspiration is pretty damn special and people like you and my mother are special.

I don't I know what my life is and entails and I know a lot about things you don't, just as you know a lot of thing I don't I was refering to the OP regarding the wages as he is young and as far as I know does not have a college degree or wait actually I think he's a computer dude if I recall so maybe he will actually have to pay a decent amount, which imo is good. I hope things work out for both him and the mother though because this is a sad situation for a child to be in.

    With that line of Logic/hoping...
Isn't this potentially a domino situation where a Household (couple/kiddos) is dependant on incoming child support
because they don't have enough money left for the meager Life after paying outgoing child support?

Reeks of politics/hi finance (no Common Sense)...

    All of this because...

    BTW disposable diapers are <$100/mon.
    Still too much?
    They still make cloth diapers...
