aol was the beginning of screwing up the internet, run by a bunch of christers, so no real surprise there.

 

Man, I hated AOL...

 

i think pretty much everyone who knew what they were doing did.
it was only loved by people who could use it without having to.
much like the mac, which together, made the bizdroid rip off of the net possible.

 

Oh, aol. I used to love the sound it made when a buddy signed on your buddy list

I had to turn all the sounds of messaging programs. Completely fucked with my music. Especially email noises. Berrrr.

 

Oh those were the days. Punters, warez, chatrooms. I started with 28.8 dialup then got 56k when it came out and and it lighting fast! lol

 

Chat rooms were the bomb. They're so fucked and gay and ugly now.
MSN chat rooms were gold.

 

I changed the sound on my aim to say "fuck you" every time a friend would message me. It made me giggle.

When I was on AOL the internet wasn't open yet... Internet was still government, military and education only.
