Redesigns always take some getting used to. So if it makes the new HF perform better, on the computer and the mobile version, then it's something to look forward to.

On the other hand, this is embarrassing. I hate my old username and I've gone back to 2 eyes.

 

PROBLEM: When I try to abbreviate words like "it's" it takes away the last letter. Like it's.. No wait that worked.

Seriously though, much faster loading pages.

No lag time at all this end

 

Also, how do I select the mobile view?

 

Yeah, annoying. I don't know why they made that the default. You can disable that though. I had to or I'd be inadvertently clicking on it all the time on mobile! I've already hit the Chat heading in the menu above by accident a few times. It should have a confirm window because it's so easy to hit on mobile.

So to disable the chat at the bottom, go into Chat (click on the bar at the bottom or on the Chat up top) then in Chat, in the upper part you'll see some options. Go to Settings, then check off Disable Chat. The chat bar at the bottom will turn into a small window in the lower right corner saying Enable Chat. To get rid of that, go into chat again and there are more options lower down in the Display Mode. Click on the drop down arrow and from the list choose Above Forums List and exit chat. All that stuff will be gone now. You can still access chat whenever you want from the menu above.It speeds up the page too. Hotwater should have no problem now. ;-D

 

ok, anyone found settings for number of results per page, for search of when you click "new posts"

Or a way to do active threads like the old way

An improvement on mobile...desktop version is going to take some time to embrace. Have to learn the intricacies again

 

Oh yeah... after upgrading to the new version, I have 2,000 posts added to my post count. Went from 1,900ish to 3,900ish.

Just FYI

 

Staying signed in is a function of your wed browser, not the site. New software often requires updating your browser to include the latest spyware, how else would Google, Microsoft and Apple become billionaires. LMAO.
