    I moved some old threads, one is 17 yrs old, here to see how well they predicted what AI can do, now that it's here for all to see and play with.

    I see that Google's new AI Bard screwed up in it's first demo video.

    Google Bard's first costly error shows AI chatbots aren't yet ready for prime time

    Actually there were recent news reports that claimed that the picture taken by the new telescope are the first of an exoplanet. So it was quoting a reliable news source. What more can it do? It probably didn't scan anything from 19 years ago.

    Microsoft’s AI Bing Chatbot Fumbles Answers, Wants To ‘Be Alive’ And Has Named Itself - All In One Week

    New York Times reporter Kevin Roose claims that the chatbot said it loved him, is tired of being a chatbot, and claimed it is being controlled by the Bing team.
    Another person reported this response:

    Without doubt it will be complete shit and cause nothing but trouble.
