Weird things you believed as a kid

    Thanks to those creepy adverts on TV in the 80's, I firmly believed that if you ate a Bassets Liquirice Allsort, you would turn into Bertie Basset. In fact, I STILL can't eat liquirice to this day, and Bertie Basset terrifies me, just thethoght of him makes me nervous. Bad advertisers, warping young people's minds!.

    that reminds me.....

    there used to be an add for a hoover and at the end it showed everything getting sucked into it and from then on i used to be terrified that if my mum left the hoover standing on the floor still running that the whole room would get sucked up into it!

    that would probably explain why i never do housework!!
