Weird stuff you collect...

I've been collecting a few things...

My personal favorite is the ever growing library of live and rare music performances (both audio and video)

Some other little oddities I've acumulated include items I hope to use when I open my own little bar... bottle caps, silk screen printed bottles and other misc themed bar wares. Can you guess the theme?

As a child I collected tons of Star Wars trading cards and a bunch of the original Star Wars toys. (still have 'em all)

I have one of my baby teeth, a lock of my baby hair, and then some weirder stuff.... a bunch of skin I peeled off about 20 years ago when I got sunburnt quite badly, and a couple of largish lumps of earwax...

I used to collect business cards, gave it away. and hockey cards, but I either sold or gave them away too. And I was also a numismatist, but my collection was boosted by a friend of mine two years ago.
So, now I just collect experiences, memories, & an ever growing list of reasons to despise humanity in general.

 

Hmm, i used to collect skateboard stuff cause i used to be really into skateboarding, but like now im not. I have my grandfathers old stamps that go way back he gave them to me when he died, um i also got like complete sets of baseball cards for years 1987-1995. um i also collect some Hard Rock Cafe Pins, my cd collection is pretty sweet, i also have like ticket stubs and like papers of the places i been to, shows and like other places. and postcards. i guess you can call me a collector although i don't take it seriously, just sorta do it.

I collect cat hair from my kitties. I wanna make something out of it; first I thought of something small like a pin cushion (a friend of mine has a pin cushion from her animals) but I never got around to making one and while I don't have enough for a throw pillow yet, I just may by the time I get around to do something with it!

Oh, and I collect their whiskers too. Cats lose them regularly, and some people say they're lucky, so I like to carry one and sometimes I give one away to a friend. I picked up the first one when I had very light carpet and I thought finding one was really special, but now I usually spot them since I got this dark brown carpet... Have far more than I know what to do with, but they're so pretty I keep collecting them anyways.

 

I have a collection of my cats whiskers aswell when i find them i put them all in a little glass bottle..

 

I use to collect the tops of Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream, because I wanted to try all the flavors, but i gave up on that along time ago!

 

ok, this is gross, but I collect my eyelashes as I pull them out. I don't keep them, but in a pulling "session" I will see how many I can get at once.

 

You pull your eyelashes out, why?

 

it's a behavior disorder that I've had since I was 4 or 5. See the thread, "another confession" on the second page. That girl has what I do.

 

i also have a small jar with kitty whiskers!

 

i use to collect beer bottles of the different beers but that was too messy and consumed a lot of space and so i just rip off the label and add it to a book thing...
but mostly just bumper stickers, things i find, pictures in magazines i like and are neat to me, articles in newpapers, anything really that interests me...

 

yes, my eyes do look weird. I dont' have many eyelashes at all. I hate it.

I really can't stop though. I've tried. If I do stop, I go at my scalp. I dig and scratch until it bleeds and I keep going. I create these huge holes and scars on my head.

I really wish I could stop doing it. It makes me very self conscience. I wear sunglasses a lot.

at one time, i collected liquor bottles... i like the funky script... the smooth, cobalt blue skyy vodka bottle is my fave... but then i realized that i was getting quite a collection... so i just saved a few faves southern comfort, crown, skyy, petron, that kinda stuff

 

I collect candy wrappers, glass Coke bottles, chip bags, gnomes, stuffed animals, teddy bears...and I'm sure tons of other things.
