You are welcome. I tried to explain this concept to Frodo, but he was pretty far gone.

Exactly.... without the Spirit there is no truth or guidance, as the Bible states. Even if it wasn't required, it's not a gift one in their right mind would want to give up.

From what I read, Tongues only happen through BAPTISM of the holy spirit. Once you get baptized anyone can automaticly speek in tongues if they give it a shot. HOWEVER, the spirit already comes to LIVE within you, once you get saved. Because once you get saved, you get a new spirit, because your old one was dead.
    like this:

Prayer there= Holy Ghost there. :)

Tongues there= BIG Holy Ghost with gifts there! :D [IMG]:D

Tongues are the evidence of the Baptism of the Holy Spirit (I.E. what took place in Acts 2). But, just as what took place, they were in prayer for the Spirit to come upon them, and baptize them with tongues. There are people who actually recieve the baptism of the Spirit, through evidence of speaking in tongues without first being Baptized in the name of Jesus (Remember, Jesus said, "The Spirit goes where it wills"). They are quick to want to be baptized after. However, I myself did not recieve the Baptism of the Spirit until three months after my water baptism. I wouldn't agree with the statement that anyone can speak in tongues after they are baptized. It just depends... you are filled when you are filled. It can happen before baptism, after baptism, during baptism, etc. When the Lord feels you are truly ready, he will fill you. It is a promise, according to Acts 2:38-39.

I started talking right after I said the prayer.
Whatever supernatural sound wants to come out,-let it.

well i still yet to have been baptized in water, or i have felt no evidence of Holy Spirit within me, so...yup

i had my old religious feeling from back when i was, well, whatever i was, but i think that may have had something to do with looking up while chanting, listening to spiritual songs, or praying, or meditating or whatever i was doing

The most amazing aspect of tongues: Every persons tongue does not sound the same. It is as unique as each individual themselves. Words being spoken, are not similar in sound between two individuals as they are in any other language of mankind. That comment would be directed towards people who assume that tongues are the cooing and babbling sounds of infants who have not quite learned to talk.

Get yourself to church, hon. You know the steps...

Like I said, you can recieve Spiritual baptism first, however, water baptism is your cleansing from sin and should honestly be the first priority of faith.

Check out the sites I gave carbdizzaq (sp?), it's got info on Baptism of the Holy Spirit, so, once you're water baptized, you already know what to do next! ;)

    Oh! (is back oon topic)

I have always been very shy, and self protecting. Another evidence that the Holy Spirit is true (strange things happen...) was the fact that TWO DAYS after my Baptism of the Holy Spirit (in the car...), a big chunk of shyness broke off. I'm more outgoing! I would've not held this for possible in my new age days...;)

ive acctually had plan to go to my friend britt's church for a loong time, even before i found solely Jesus, but i just have never gone yet...

it is just kinda weird for me, cause i dont come from a super religious family, like i dont think my parents are atheists, and we had these children bible book thingers, but we had never gone to church really, no wait, we attended services at a Ukrainian Youth Camp one time, but thatw as outside, an we were just camping there with our cousins

i know i shouldnt feel ashamed or secretive, but thats just the way i developed with my faith and my family, im way more open with my friends

Did you ever watch online/on air sermon?

Since my parents don't let me go to church, I watch those to get some food...

Of coarse it can't completely replace actually GOING to a sermon, but it's the best I've got! :)

Actual, what you feel is pretty natural. You are in the beginning stages, and just as a human being, those emotions make perfect sense. Attend the church, but be aware. I know that you said it was Pentecostal (not sure if it's Apostolic or not), so it will be LOUD. However, when the Spirit comes upon you, you will want to rejoice in the same manner.

I have one for you. Both Pastor and the assistant Pastor have stated that they have been in the car, and were moved by the Holy Spirit to pull off of the road. Further down, an accident had taken place.

Ach, being shy's like having a plague.

After a while, I realized that I had a demon of rejection. After the Baptism it obviously got suppressed, but he's still there...need to get him cast out some time...

    Adam? Haha! :D

You're probably tired of everybody spelling your name wrong all the time...
It's sort is hard to spell...:(

well honestly ryu, ive never liked televangelists, and ive never heard of online sermons, but i dont know about that...and yeah, i had expected it to be loud, cause one day we were discussing street preaching, and the preaching of helfire and brimstone, and well, i dont see the need for it personally [although i am aware of it] and well she tells me that lots of people are acctually saved and drawn in because if it...ok, and re-reading it, i see you didnt mean what i thought you meant...so plese, ignore most of this first part of the post..

haha, adam, that last bit just made me laugh... :D

and i think i am going to bed now cause, well, i have to do a lot of solo boring filming tomorrow, but great thanks to both of you for advising me, its greatly appreiciated...

and adam, thank you as well, i find your knowelege [cause i have very little] to be quite great and outstounding, it has helped me as well, in just understanding and clearing my ignorance

Because they think the churches here in america are all about manipulation, unless they're catholic or lutheran...or orthodox...
