This weekend my son has his play so I for sure will be going to see that. When I was young I would go out dancing every weekend. Now that i am to sore for dancing I tend to go out to the local cafe on Saturdays and listen to music. I have been to physically ill to do that lately. So I have been playing video games and watching movies on weekends the past month.
I used to work every other weekend, but Saturdays were half-days for me. Now that I'm floating on the unemployed cloud, my Fridays usually consist of an all-day job search and filling out applications. Saturday has normally always been grocery day, my parents pick me up and we go grocery shopping together in the evening usually. I have a car these days to go on my own, but it's my chance to spend time with my dad and has been a tradition since I moved out. If something interferes with that on Saturday, we go on Sundays. On Sundays that aren't grocery day, I usually spend all day playing on the computer and decide to use them as my lazy/whatever I want to do days. Today was grocery day this week and tomorrow we're going out with the in-laws to have a birthday dinner for my now old man. lol Since I'm unemployed, weekends shouldn't really be much different, but I've taken up a couple odd jobs cleaning house during the week to make extra cash, so weekends are still days off for me, lol.
Can you bring me some chapstick? No Napoleon, I'm busy. But my lips hurt real bad. So, go to the nurse. Ew, I'm not using her's, you sicko.
Several years ago I bartered with my son to provide internet access for me in exchange for doing his laundry...so I do my grown son's laundry on the weekend. I'm a procrastinator for the most part, so there is no special cleaning ever planned for the weekend. Finally, I usually have a drink (or 3) of alcohol on the weekend...like NOW. Edit: I DID consider Friday nights special because my very favorite TV show came on - Fringe...but alas, the last show was last Friday night.
I usually clean like a madwoman for a few hours in the morning, try to get in a hike or a nice walk if the weather cooperates. maybe go out to eat for lunch or hit up a farmer's market and make a good dinner. I'll be doing a lot of gardening when the weather warms up. I sound like such a suburban housewife lol. I used to go to shows/party/shows/party. I thought it was the greatest life. nowadays I'm just stoked about not having all those damn hangovers anymore.
