Ive never really been to a party either where i would consider it safe enough to leave my shit lying arond that pretty stupid... To me party connotes a bunch of people you dont know and a few that you do, i dont leave my stuff out among a bunch of strangers

I mean dont steal shit but at the same time take care of your stuff, how hard is it to throw it in your pocket

Ive stolen little things like lighters and pail caps but thats not really a big deal, its ussually been absent minded forgetting anyway

Stealing a peice is a little bit too far though (unless its someone your enemies with)

EDIT: also NEVER steal weed thats fuckin stupid

Most people are completely ignorant of the way Karma works.

Karma is a result of all past transgressions and negativities which you have generated in the past, in this life, and in previous ones.

Its related to Sankhara, which is the sum of all of your reactivities, and the reason we are continually reincarnated into this plane of existence. There are forms of meditation which help you to learn to be non-reactive, at a subconscious level and after being non-reactive, eventually all of your sankharas rise up, and bubble away.

The founder of this meditation course I went to, Goenka, stated that the first mind of this life, is a direct product of the last mind of the previous life. Which is why suicide is such a grisly end, and not an end to suffering in itself, as that persons last moment of existence in that incarnation was so full of pain and grief, that it adds tumultuously to their store of Sankhara, and much of their next life is dedicated to them learning Karmic lessons to rectify the lapse in judgment.

    Karmic Lessons-

It is my belief, that once you are released from this watery meatbag which we hold so near and dear to ourselves, that you end up in Fifth density, an ethereal plane of speculation and retrospection, where you review events of the life you led previously, and route out a rough outline for the life you want to lead next, along with all the major lessons the Spirit may wish to learn along its path.

Bottom line, everything happens for a reason, because every event serves the purpose of teaching a lesson in one way or another.

Its just up to you whether you wish to learn anything.

    So, Who likes metaphysics?

karma is something people made up so they could justify the subjugation of the weak by the strong.

I see no reason to believe that there is a cosmic bank account of morality that doles out reward and punishment as it deems fit.

That is totally not the way I see it.

The way I see it, Our Higher self (oversoul, intuition, God, call it what you will) exists in perfection in the future, and all it wants is to see all of itself reunify with it, but the way we can get there is through trial and tribulation, and great sorrows and triumphs. By perfecting your being though purification and right thinking and meditation, you can find your way back to the Creator.

Karma isnt necessarily something outside you, some mystical force. To some extent, you have already planned out what major lessons you are to learn in this life, as you will do the same for your next life, and on and on.

Sorry man, but when I read that all I see is some mystic mumbo-jumbo. It requires a certain suspension of disbelief that I cannot provide.

Yeah but in experience there is a balance to everything and a balance to the universe. It's just karma, not some crazy thing.

    Different things for different people.

Some souls are in different states of progression than others.

What are your thoughts on the afterlife, then?

That's the thing, there's not a balance to everything. Some people have great lives. Some people have really shitty ones. Most people will lay somewhere in the middle. Law of averages, not karma.

I don't believe in an afterlife. When I die, that's it. The neurons stop firing and the consciousness known as "mike" ceases to exist.

    How sad.

I believe that we incarnate into Third density, the plane in which we are currently existing, to learn Karmic lessons and to further our spiritual progress.

The reason I believe in reincarnation is based in science, the law of conservation of energy, which states that energy cannot be created nor destroyed, but is constantly changing forms. What is our Consciousness, but a very complex form of energy?

Eh I also don't believe in an afterlife. death of physical = death of mental if mental is created by chemicals and neurons and shit.

Conservation of energy in no way implies an immortal consciousness. Consciousness rises from electrical energy (and probably others, I'm no neurologist....yet), and it takes a lot of work to keep it going. This is why we must constantly eat and drink, or our bodies will be unable to sustain themselves. IMO the efficacy of psychedelic drugs only strengthens the position that consciousness cannot exist independently of matter, for we can alter it so drastically through material means.

I'm also afraid I'm going to have to sit out on my own pity party. I've only got one life to live and I intend to make the best of it. Nothing sad about that.
