I wouldn't do it on your hand, at least until if and when you get really into being inked. The inside of your wrist would be better. Or if you are worried about future jobs and what not, get it somewhere you can cover it up. I really like hip and rib tats on females.
The prob w both hip and rib tats if you can gain and lose weight easily in those places and I really hate how tats look when someone gains or loses weight there... and I've recently lost 30 lbs and plan to lose 30 more so.. idk... plus no body would see it there. Well, not many people and I guess that's the other thing- I want it to be seen but not to HAVE to be seen if I don't want it to .... maybe ankle? idk... oh and as for the hand... im not scared of the pain what-so-ever. i already know id like it actually.
I don;t have a single tatt.. not been my time i guess... but i got dreads and hair i been letting grown for years.. and i got studs i my ears now. so piercings and hair.
I never got a tat. Me and my brother plan on getting Calvin and Hobbes. I get Calvin and he gets Hobbes which would reflect our relationship at times. Luckily though the tats I would have have gotten back in the day that I didn't I'd regret.
It's not the pain, tattoos feel good to me.. that's just a hardcore first tattoo. And without the rest of your arms done it might look weird. I like wrist cuffs too, that wrap all the way around your wrist. Which depending on the font and all that you could cover with a watch. Also if its quality work, it won't look fucked up with weight gain. I have a friend who has her side done and it still looked super fresh when she was preg.
I got my first one at age 28 I think? I put a lot of thought into stuff like that. Damn that must be some longass dreads :afro:
Yea... I mean the reason I haven't gotten any yet is pretty much because there was never anything important enough that I knew I wouldn't regret in some way or another later. But my son's name... Def. no chance of that happening. Yea pregnancy is def. another reason that I'd wanna make sure, one way another, that it wouldn't stretch out.. Idk.. what I have in my head is a minimalistic tat ...small letters and stars only two colors and both of them soft shades... so i dont think it would look weird/bad without my arm being done but anyways... yea im gonna think on it more before i get it done. but i'm DEF 100% gonna get it. just not 100% on where... i mean ive actually considered getting it in the same diagonal way on my neck but that's a lil TOO hardcore for me, imo. plus dan would think im nuts. he doesnt even agree w me on the back of my hand (even tho it would cover something else) so idk... luckily it's my decision tho, not his.

man this tattoo talk is making me want to get ink so bad...I have a couple of tattoo ideas floating around in my head but I only want them done by this one artist, he's very good and very pricey and my tattoo ideas are kinda complex and pricey as it is so I can't bring myself to put down the chunk of change needed for them. as far as pregnancy and tattoos, I have a small tattoo on the lower left side of my belly, next to my hip. It did stretch a little when I was pregnant but it still looks good. I also have one on my wrist which you might wanna consider over a hand tattoo, AT, although I think the way you described it on your hand sounds fine too.
