I wore my flip-flops today. I noticed something, though...flip-flops with images painted on them are just silly. Mine have Garfield (the cat, not the president) on them and he's now going blind and loosing his toes, lol. And I have some with duckies, but most of the duckies have worn off. That makes me sort of sad.
I have cuts all over the tops of my feet because I broke in some new flip flops this week. So I spent pretty much all of the last two days going to and from school barefoot. I got some strange looks from my teachers and fellow students, but I really don't care.
i was 10 years old and i stepped on a rusty nail and it went all the way through my foot WITH shoes on.. it sucked.
It's sometimes safer when barefoot. You can feel the nail before it can do a lot of damage. With shoes, you don't feel a nail until it suddenly punctures all the way through. The weather finally warmed up here. I hiked in bare feet in nature for three hours on dirt trails, grass, mud, rocky creeks, warm pavement, cement, and gravel. It felt great. My feet usually blister my first long hike in the spring but didn't this time. .
the exact same thing happened to me right after a huge thunder/wind storm. i was walking around barefoot and there was a loose rusty nail on the ground. before i knew it was was screaming on the ground. it went straight threw.
