Weed wacker or Whipper Snipper

I can't help thinking about the name wacker without remembering the lower wacker drive car chase scene from the movie the blues brothers

 

My dad just used to call it that noisy **** of a thing.

 

I grew up on weed whacker. Most people around here call it a weed eater though.

I'm pretty sure you just made up whipper snipper. But to answer your question, whipper snipper is probably the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Slightly dumber than "the earth is flat."
