I've never had weed...in fact I've never done drugs. (that doesn't mean I won't one day though!) You know, it is possible to still be a hippy and not do the drugs. It's all in your beliefs little sister. Anyway I'm glad you had fun gettin' high. Peace wished to one and all.
We probably all still do it to an extent. Why do we look how we look, right? I really can't be bothered by 'posers' as much as I once used to. I see people on the forum as well proclaiming their irritation about posers, while they have the most composed pictures of theirself in their gallery. Different kind of 'posing'? Not so very different to me. I don't have any kind of problem with it though, don't get me wrong. But I find it unrighteous and in some extent even a bit hypocritical of those people to express their annoyance about people who express themself in a stereotypical or cliché way that they obviously just like. I can also see a difference in a young teenager saying rashly cliché things, but which come from the heart and a person who tries hard to fit in a subgenre. Of course I agree we don't know which was exactly the case here.

It's not wrong bringing it up the way you did, certainly not. It isn't only about a fashion image. Many people just pose theirself and show of their own style. Like I said, maybe it's a different kind of posing, but it shows peoples vanity. Which is at first instance fine with me, by the way!

But maybe it's not just a phase, and she will really be a hippie for the rest of her life :O if she thinks that because she smokes weed now she must be a hippie, then let her think that way.
