yeah...his plan was wait another 1 1/2 weeks. I thought he'd be good by next friday (8 days)...but if you would have seen it a couple weeks ago ya prolly wouldn't think it would be where it is right now. The pistils are darker than the picture appears...there's a 400w light on it making it a little bright right now :p

A friend of mine has 'a few' plants growing outdoors at the moment. This is a pic he snapped a week or so ago. More pics to come at harvest time.

edit: I may as well throw this up too. Grabbed 3/4oz of this the other night.

edit2: From the same batch of nug, just a nicer looking nug. I only used the above pic because it turned out so well.

actually HPS is the preferred lamp, but to much yellow, red and orange spectrum and you get leaf yellowing.. If you want to keep a green tone to the leaves keep the cool whites, but resin production as i know it, is stimulated more with HPS... I cross Spectrums (using both lamps) and Im sure Manic/M4N14C42O does the same a bit..

yeah, from what i understand the bud production rate on the ruderalis is a good bit quicker......obviously......so it's hard for me to judge from a pic when they should be done.........i hope to find out soon tho with the diesel ryders ;)..........and yeah i can totally understand on the HPS glow that cameras pick up........just harvested some sour d's that looked white pistilled still under the lamps but when in normal light they looked ready to pick......the sour d's don't have very bright pistils anyway.......pretty dull red/brown......

yep, when in seed/clone and veg stage i use a mix spectrum of cfl's.............then when they look like they're ready (for my grow style) i throw 'em under straight HPS.........although, i've recently acquired a few 4ft 2 bulb T8's with cool white bulbs that im thinking of adding to the flower cab for abit of blue spectrum.........we'll see........kinda right at the limit on the breaker as is....soo......

but yes, i highly recommend using a broad range in spectrum if possible.......in all stages of growth.........IMO.

    :sifone: :cheers2:

haha, breaker limit .. I use power strips, so I dont have to go to the basement.. :D If I kill a strip I know .. oopps.. I get them pretty hot sometimes pushing that 4kw for a little bit.. but rarely use 4kw for more than a few hrs a day while monitoring end of flower... cut back 2 hrs increase light wattages around mid cycle (noon) .til. (3) bring lamps back down to 1kw.
