For me any strain enhances the orgasm. There has been a lot written on this forum about the indisputable value that 420 has on sexual enhancement for many. Unfortunately my wive does not get into sex no matter what strain so far.

I'm not seeing where a chemical difference is published. Wikipedia offers, "Variety names are typically chosen by their growers, and often reflect properties of the plant such as taste, color, smell, or the origin of the variety." So not surprising I'm not feeling a difference.
Since those characteristics listed are subjective, that suggests a psychological response to a predisposition. My personal experimentation reinforces that.
I can feel different on different days, and different times I smoke I can feel different, but I can't find it tied to the strain. I've been energetic under both and relaxed under both - it's other factors which determine where on that spectrum I feel. I believe also I'm not very susceptible to the power of suggestion.

Having vaped all. Indica, sativa and hybrids I have noticed a difference. The indica I had was more sedating and body buz where the sativa provided a hyper body and move of a heady buzz. If you seem prone to paranoia or if weed increases your anxiaety vs decreases, sativa may not ne good as it may increase inhibition which would detract thg from sex. This is what may be the case with my wife.The hybrid seemed as the name implies provided both.

I am not sure if medical grade may have more stringent requirements. For sure there could be large variation of effects within these broad categories as wide as variations between the different broad categories. I should point out that my sample for my experiment was small. Only my wife and I tried them all with me. For her there would appear little dramatic increase in arousal.

Interesting. How much do you care to find out if you can really feel the difference between those types or if it's responding to suggestion? Here's how.
Have a trusted person move some of the indica and sativa (and hybrid if you want to include it) into clean containers marked only with some unique identifier (like x,y,z or star, moon, and planet) and keep secret what's what. Have that person give them to a second trusted person who will pack your pipe or whatever you'll use throughout the trial each time you request. That second person will decide which you get as randomly as they can and keep notes of which they gave you and the date / time - you don't get to see this during the trial. You make notes each time you partake, the date & time and the effects you experience. After a few dozen partaking sessions, declare the trial over, match your notes to the strain type through your two helpers, and look for any correlations.
