LOL...I gave up on them. According to them I have been diagnosed with PTSD, major depression and borderline personality disorder. They do it for the insurance...them bastids.:beatdeadhorse5:
mine is a pill pusher! i tell her no, and she still starts piling up samples of some hardcore meds and try to force em on me.
I must be lucky...my doctor doesn't try and push meds or anything on me. They know I don't like taking things unless I absolutely have to. Same with my kids' pediatrician. It's extremely rare that he'll prescribe antibiotics. My oldest son has only been on them twice in his 9 years of life, and the twins only once in their 5 years. With my oldest he had a really nasty ear infection that didn't want to clear up, and Strep. The twins had Strep as well. Most of what he will suggest when they're not feeling well are simple things, like elevating the top of their mattress to ease congestion, steam baths, lots of fluids, and just good old TLC...things like that. He's very laid back, but always on the ball if need be. I'm glad I found him for my kids! Me, I was prescribed so many antibiotics as a child, it was ridiculous. My parents were the type who ran me to the doctor for every little thing (my mom is a nurse and is always thinking worst case scenario because she knows too much sometimes) and to this day, my parents think a pill can take care of every little problem, I swear. They think I'm silly for not taking meds when I'm not feeling well, but I really try to go the natural route for healing before anything else.
