I had hoped that this forum would be about the things that we tried to accomplish when we were young and the goals and ideals of peace, love and respect. How to change the world now, to make it a better place. Folks it hurts me to see this hostility and anger...I am a bit taken aback and saddened more than I can express.
    goodbye

Well I'm not to thrilled about it myself Bamboo.. Cooloner.. you started this mess and now you feel abused. It was you who was abusing the other posters in here. I gotta run this forum and I don't need a bunch of crap.. your statements were neither funny nor were they enlightening.
Now you want to be forgiven after all the crap you started, and now youv'e run off peacefull posters.
Bamboo please dont leave on account of this childish behavior, mine included. I'm not angry, at anyone. My face is not all screwed up in a twisted knot. I'm saying it with a steady gaze and tho my words are sharp, That's just the way I talk. All bs aside.
But if one more ugly comment comes in here, I'm gonna start deleting posts. I'm not going to say it again or give anymore warnings, just delete delete delete.

with all due respect this is a lively forum,if all we did was sit around and kiss each other's butts we would get nowhere.True change takes time and conversation, good and bad.Sometimes my ego gets in the way though and i do get caught up amd need a reminder.Don't take it too seriously.peace

So sad to see so many angry words, but I suppose we can't all agree. I guess a lot of people would say that to believe that love is really all you need is naive, but that's what I think, and it's always worked for me.
To all my old friends here, thanks for the welcome back. I appreciate not having been forgotten. Stop by the Kitchen Table sometime for a bit. It's fallen into disrepair and we want to get it going again.
Oh, and for anyone who's interested, I haven't paid taxes since 1991--just so you know.
    Peace to all,
    Angel

Damn that was a whole gang of reading for one days posts. Voided I wasn't responding to your post, but to cooloner. You do get a bit out there though. I honestly don't know half the shit you are talkin about. You tend to keep my internet line busy looking up all that shit. Only if it starts cutting into my music stealing time, we'll have to have some words! LOLz

Cooloner. if you think you can be the guy to turn the lights back on, sweet. Only saying you can isn't going to get it. The guy with the most guns and biggest army is the one they will flock to.

We were gonna change the world.

I have this picture of the person putting the flowers into the rifle barrel of the soldier protecting the whatever it was, the Pentagon?, from the "peace" marchers, in my head. Funny I can't remember if it was a guy or a girl.

My dad has pictures of the labs at Michigan State being blown up by the Weathermen or SDs or whoever the hell it was doing that back then. It was guys like cooloner who were ready to revolt, that tarnished the image of love and peace. "They got the guns love, we've got the numbers" or so Jim said. The fact is we didn't have the numbers, and we were never able to capture that majority of people and turn them toward the love. They only saw the ugly. We weren't the flower children, we were the Panthers, The Weathermen, The Simbionese Fucking Liberation Front, the neighbor kid overdosing on secanol, the Jane Fonda at the anti-aircraft gun (I still love ya anyway Jane girl). We were Patty Hearst toting a machine gun robbing a fucking bank, we were the Chicago rioters, and on and on and on and on. How many of you even noticed that Eugene McCarthy died December 10th? How many of you younger ones even know who the hell Eugene McCarthy was?

My dad said never argue about Politics or Religion. Then again he also said love is a misunderstanding between two fools. Shows what he knew. I found my one great love pa. Lasted 10 years. Nothing is forever. I may be directing my comments to particular posters and I may not. I tend to ramble and let my mind take me where it wants. All I know is 100 years from now, no one will know that I was here, unless they archive hip forums for posterity. LOL But anyway I enjoy a good repartee. Sometimes pissed off people make the interesting read. God knows I don't want to sit around with a bunch of people patting each other on the back and just agreeing. But personal attacks aren't cool. I may attack your ideas but I won't attack you. I may suggest you up your dose of lithium though.

    SH You one funny girl.

Earthmama you my kind of girl. My dad was from the hills above Wheelin'. I'm like you baby girl. I'll peace and love you to death, but I still keep a loaded shotgun in the closet.

Gate. Ya Watts is no big thing. I went to the high school where Crips was formed. I still live here. I've been known to sit on the corner hitting the Thunder Chicken with the homies. But if push comes to shove....see my comments to Earthmama. You ain't been down till you partied down on Double Dipper Super Kools with the Rolling 40s in a crack house on 43rd and Central. (I was the only white boy they would let in.<g>)

Anyway kids, I just found this band called The Coral. Check them out. Great Music. I recommend it to all my fellow old fogies who want something new that can hang with the good 60's classics. Now if you will excuse me I am going to go back looking for some Biff Rose tunes. SEE YA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Good Mornin' Carol,
The Pictures were too small sweetie, I need Closeups of your eyes, Close meaning fill the whole pic with just your eye. I can barely see that you have eyes in these pics sweetie, I must say you do have a lovely family :). Love ya doll.. we'll talk (hugs)

I agree with Luv.. what a sweetie he is, not in a bad way tho. We are ready(me n mine) to protect what's ours. What we worked for, not handed to us, work till we dropped literaly to the ground, bleeding and broked down, but with enough life to hold what we earned and what we learned.

Gate, your ok with me dude, no matter what the forum says aboutcha.. heh heh..

EM, you have and enlightening way about you woman. I hope when I reach your years, I will have more control as you do. Thank you for being here and keeping me humble.

Angel, I'm so sorry that on your return to the forums you had to wittness this, it's not always like this. My mouth has a will of it's own sometimes when certain buttons are pushed.

Steve, Your bitch is with the system of things and not personnaly abusive or condeming, I can dig that.

What is going on between HHB and Thud is an old battle unresolved and should be hashed out in private and not drag everyone in the house into it.

Teepi, you know I luvs ya Gal ( who doesn't) You always bring a bright smiling attitude with you, even when your blue. You crack me up with your comments. That's some lucky Larry you got there. What an inspiration you two are. Live long and Prospers Lovies.

Mimosa, what a fine lady you are, your heart shines like a beacon, it is most auspicious to have you here with us. Thank you for the love you share with us Kendall, love and light to you missy and bright blessings.

Mellow, You have a gift, your very insightful, may your journey be rewarding and all your hopes and dreams come easily into furitation in your life, grow on.

For All the brothers and sisters here, we are all in this together.. we all have the same basic desires, we all come from the same place and will return to same nakid and alone as we came in. What we do with the time we were given is our choice having free will. We grow from experience and knowledge. We draw to us what we will, there are lessons being learned even in the misunderstandings that lack of clear thinking sometimes bring. The mirrored image we portray ourselves to be is what is returned to us. The ripple you send out causes action and reaction untill it reaches the other side and is returned in like. Same as emotion, Weather it be love, hate or mixed, that's what you get back.
Sometimes when we are faced with a facet of ourselves seen in someone else, we tend to critisize and judge, but in realility we are judging our own inperfections, and we don't like it much. So we tend to pass judgements where they don't belong. When what we are sending out and it comes back negitive. We must then rethink and look inside for the sulution that is holding us back from growing and perfecting our own shortcomings.
What you sow you reap, karmatic flow of the universe, however you wish to lable it, it means the same. We are whatever we want to be. What we bite off we have to chew up and swallow or spit it out. Let's say we spit this one out and have a taste of something more palatable. There is plenty to choose from on the table or you can add your own dish, but please do not bring shit pie, we don't like it and we won't eat it, so leave it outside the Garden Gate.
Brightest Blessings in the coming New Year
    sh

LOL You too? When my son was younger I'd take him and all his friends piled into the VeeDub bus to the beach. It was a free ride there, but they had to pay to get home. I made each of them pick up 5 pieces of garbage from the sand and bring it to the car for me to see. It didn't matter how big it was. A cig butt or a straw or a can still just one piece. Funny thing was these 7 and 8 year old kids understood what I was doing and thought it was cool. More brains than the adults who were there.

thanks to kalifornia's 3 strikes law aimed at child molesters we now have more people in jail for drugs than evar before.Been getting the "legal" stuff lately both from private growers and from the store. My buddies grooming for the private grower getting free pot of decent quality. The store's however seems to be of lower strengh and higher in price than on the street. Now at 150$ to get your permit to buy grow or smoke lt don't seem worth it.It actually seems like a scam. One would also be adding their name to a list for the feds to use in a major crackdown. On the contrary the stores that are getting busted lead to few if any arrests.i'm thinking the more who join the more "acceptable" it'll become leading to changes to the federal laws.i feel it might be my duty as a smoker to spend the money and support the cause.True there are far bigger issues here. The 3 strikes law. Those in prison can't vote and have hushed voices. Most are in for drugs not perversion.Hopefully by supporting legalization it will help chip away at this unjust law.Good morning Voided, happy new day!

I decided one day to start picking up trash along our road. Just from the corner boundary of our neighbors farm to the far corner boundary of our farm. Covered about a mile altogether. I don't think anybody had EVER done that before. I ended up, a week later, with two FULL TO THE TOP OF THE RACKS pickup truck loads. I would cover a cretain amount of area, and stack all the trash on the edge of the road to be gathered up later. There was so much of it that I got the bright idea (to kill boredom) to start laying it end to end down the side of the road for all to see, just to see how far it would go that way. I believe if I would have kept it up, I could have had a couple miles of trash, easy. And the thing about it was that even tho I was making it PAINFULLY obvious just how much trash there was, and how hard SOMEONE was working to get it picked up, as soon as I'd get one stretch of road all picked up and hauled away, some idiot would start tossing MORE out! I know one of the biggest culprits was the local STATE COPS WIFE. Bitch! The worst part is if I did this again, now, there would probably be nearly the same amount as before... My biggest pet peve is those LOVELY people who not only toss out their trash along the road, but find the BIGGEST, THORNIEST multiflora rose bushes to throw it under!!!! I've left behind alot of skin and blood, let me tell you.

Way to go EM, but you are right about the trash on the roads and people not caring esp, if your out there cleaning it up for them.
We always leave the land cleaner when we leave a place. kids are great for that, plus you can get the cans and trade them for $.
We all need to make a conscious effort to keep our earth clean, it is the very least we can do.

Steve, did you just call me a ninny?!?

I think there are alot of people out there who just dont want to listen, even I can be stuborn at times. Alot of people are blinded by this meterialistic world these days. There are alot of people these days that seem to be on a power trip and are full of greed, they cant see real value. I was'nt alive in the sixties but have always found the hippies or I really prefer to say the beautiful people interesting. I am really a man for peace and understanding and a more simple life style. I have always liked the clothing style too, but that does not describe a hippy, it's whats inside a person. Everybody today is hooked on meterial things as being true value, I say true value is in the minds and hearts of people who want peace, a clean earth, and healthy life style. Peace brothers and sisters.

Just wanted to wish you all a Happy New Year and good luck changing the world in 2006.

Wow, 2005 was a different kind of year than I've ever had. I spent most of it home in front of the computer trying to improve my web mastering skills and create something positive. Along the way I have been enlightened socially and spiritually by meeting and conversing with hundreds of people online from a wide variety of backgrounds and beliefs.

During the last few months of 2005 I have had a few epiphanys about faith with regard to the direction mine is taking. I have been inspired to start an organization to work towards positive change in our communities, nation and world, and I have fallen deeper in love with my higher power, my family and the world around me.

There have been times during the year that I have lost all hope and wanted to revert back to a previous self-destructive life and lifestyle, yet I've maintained my grasp on one sliver of hope. The hope that somehow I will rise above those things that have tried to push me back down.

In 2006 I look forward to continuing this positive journey of renewal and rediscovery. I feel as though this year will be one of the most prosperous for me in many ways. I'm not much on resolutions, but I guess I would have to say that at my age, my health is becoming a concern. I need to start eating healthier and start getting some exericise. I also look forward to forming many more positive online friendships.

From a world view, I guess I would have to say that I hope love is something that will increase between people, and that somehow it will help to make things better, if not solve some of our world problems entirely. That may seem like a naive dream to some, but where would our world be now without those who have dared to dream such things?

Last but not least, I look forward to watching my children and grandson grow. I look forward to helping them and seeing them have all the best that life has to offer.

What are your most memorable 2005 experiences and what do you look forward to?
