Yeah, triple-walled, cement board, and space, with no nails or fasteners commuting between hot areas and combustibles (every-damn-thing is combustible).

Sorry these good wishes are late, but they are heartfelt. So glad you and Larry are ok. And your paintings are ok too? What about your cat...Harvest is that her name? Some friends of ours had a house fire several years ago and it was a huge mess, that smoke smell is all but impossible to get out sometimes. I wish you well. ((((((((( )))))))))))))

Ceres, thanks sweety, yes all of us are AOK...and the paintings too.
The smell is about gone. The other morning Larry got up early and built a fire in the woodstove and I smelled it in my sleep and woke up in a panic...but I am calming down...OMMMMMMMMM.
Harvest is doing great, she is such a mouser...and moler.
She lays all her fresh kill at the front door so we have to be careful when we go out...

It's funny how cats like to feed their humans...bringing home the "bacon" (or mouse meat, in this case!)..I figure it is their way of serving breakfast in bed...
