Not every diet works for other people. Frustrates me when people tell others to do this and that and this and you'll see results. Happy it works for you an all but I'm completely different. Like vegans are the worst for it. I tried that shit for a bit, turns out my body doesn't like breaking down all fruit and veg, my stomach hurt for days with so much gas until I started belching that shit out. I don't get anything like that when I maintain my usual diet of veges, salad, fruit and meat and beer and rum and mead. You think it would but nope and I've tried a few times going on no meat diets just to see.
So yeah, no one is the same.... haven't we learned this by now?

    oh this one

triple A needs dispatching..they were probably on the way to someone else

and the cops dont fix cars...youre lucky they didnt stop..here they would call a tow for "impeding traffic" and you'd be on the hook for the bill (pun intended)

what's wrong with the car? if you werent way up there i'd take a look. i can commiserate, one of the bikes is on blocks waiting for clutch parts. nice when ones primary tool for making some money is broke.

I dunno what's wrong with the car. It chugs when it idles. and then I went to use the gas pedal and went back down the hill instead.

I was just upset that it took twenty minutes for ONE person to be willing to help me push my car to the side. by the time my dad showed up and the third cop passed, my dad decided to lose it on him.
I just looked at the officer wide eyed and told him everything was just fine...

    it's a nissan altima. 2001 Drives great.

Unfortunately bought it used, and rather quickly.

The only problem I've ever had is it chugging when I'm idling.
It kinda goes away when I put it in neutral.

meaning, i hope you're not sitting there alone with a broke car while cops, tow trucks and everyone else just shrugs their shoulders.
unless you're secretly a car mechanic in which case, got on it.

edit: watching the jerk. is it messed up that i relate?

Well I was wondering about your car, Sunshine! :)

That chugging and then stopping...I had a truck that did that once...it wound up being the button ON the fuel pump. It took me taking it to 2 different mechanics and the 2nd one was determined to find the problem. The 1st place I told off (and maybe threw in a :cuss: word, or 2 ;) ).

With you being a pretty young female...that blows my mind that nobody stopped for so long. JACKASSES!

It took me a while to read the past 12 pages...like ROLLING, I'm afraid I'm going to miss something...and sometimes I do anyway when posts get deleted before I get here to read. lol

so much for the holiday spirit.

had to go to the market earlier, people were so self absorbed and rude and harried, i nearly bought enough groceries to get through till mid january.

not sure about altima but those years of nissan maxima had major idle issues ...it was usually the IAC control..sometimes they blow the computer circuit too.

i was lucky when mine went didnt blow the computer..mine was an infinity I30 but same as maxima

also they had a weird wiring problem with a computer controlled motor mount that would interfere with idle..i know that sounds like BS but its not lol

And I was dressed as such!

Dear Voyage said something about fuel pumps too. everyone mentions it! I'll find out soon. I took it in to get my battery looked at a while back and mentioned this problem to them. they fixed the minor battery issue but apparently found nothing (or checked nothing) else.

was gonna say, i thought Bbad knew cars, much better than i.

computer controlled motor mount? believe ya when you say it's not bs but.. wtf? mentioned to Sunny that i dislike working on cars, at least airplane manufacturers explain their engineering. but then again they have to, unlike bmw that won't even sell me a simple hydraulic seal and throwout bearing for a slave cylinder, guess they figure i'll buy the whole unit from them for 174 clams. fat chance.

My truck was a little '87 (yep! :D ) Nissan.

I know that cars in this century and even back in the 90s - lol - can be hooked up to ?something? and it can read what your car computer says is wrong. I would think a nice little car like an Altima could be "read". What do you say BBAD? Is my understanding right?

My last bf was a mechanic and he even had this device that would read the car problems, if the car would put it out...hopefully that makes sense, Sunnygirl.

Also, I find it unbelievable the number of JACKASSES that must travel that road where you and your troubled car were...and you were dressed. damn their asses. < I think I'm kidding about damning them. heehee

on the other hand, how about just helping someone in need in the middle of the GD road, female, dressed, or otherwise? oh, unless the reason to "help someone" is simply an attempt to get laid.

    karma is a bitch.
