good morning....i'm in a fog this morning

Good morning. :coffee: Just back from the park for Grace's walk. Nothing plowed there yet. That is packing snow out there! So far a couple more inches but they say it will snow all day. We are in the 3-6 inch accumulation area of the state. Will see.

Did not encounter any crazy drivers out there yet today. Hopefully today those that don't know how to drive in snow will stay home.

 

-18c here but it feels like -28............too cold to snow

 

we're -22, feels like -33. no snow either, but a big storm hitting burlington right now. i was supposed to drive to toronto tonight but seems like that might end up not happening

my tiny little car isn't much for storms.

just stay in here Mama! i never venture into chats. i have too much to say, and they are too fast-paced. pity that bitch, think of how miserable she must be to take it out on you like that. you dont have to invest any additional energy. we love you here.

my whole house smells like turkey stock, i let it simmer overnight. we are having friends over tomorrow, will turn the stock into turkey soup with dumplings i think, or maybe turkey noodle with bread.
you know whats awesome though? i woke up to an empty sink. even though i cooked a lot yesterday, i still did the dishes. i made hubby finish breaking down the turkey. caught him tossing bones in the trash. "um, what are you doing with those bones? they can go into the stock." "oh. sorry, i wasnt thinking." hes never made stock before, hes still learning. so now i have the stove and counters and floor to clean in the kitchen, and a little rearranging to do in the living room.

the friends we are having over have 3 girls, the youngest is just a baby though. and they might be surprised that we are not stocked on junk food and soda. i know they are under-nourished, both adults have terrible "luck" with their bodies, broken bones all the time, and usually from normal activity. i know the girls will be the same way if their diet doesnt improve. i asked what vegetables they liked, they named fruits. tsk tsk. the mom just snapped off part of a vertabre lifting something at work. that just shouldnt happen. might make a thing of having them up for a from-scratch meal on a regular basis.

Well, thanks for not warning me!

 

woke up in a haze as well. smoked a bunch last night plus a tiny piece of xanax didnt help my memory, football (real kind) is on here on the radio at my parents house, and my dad is screaming various curses and praises. no clue what to do today. i kinda need to go Christmas shopping.....but am highly broke.

 

Also, I think stoners lounge is quickly taking over as my favorite forum.

 

Went shopping last night bought a bunch of candy to put on the gingerbread houseeppermintstick:

 

if you are broke, its best to make something. do you have crafting skills, or enough change to pick up ingredients for baked goods?

 

Do what aunty does, wrap up a cat, and jello mold. give them away to people you love..

 

I have never baked a gingerbread house ...I'm just putting candy on the house....I am making the icing to put the candy on with though

 

My friend Banjo came over yesterday to do some recording.He religiously uploads all his songs to a copyright protection company because he's paranoid about being ripped off.Personally I'd be thrilled if someone nicked one of my songs and had a hit.I wouldn't really care about the money.The nicest thing was he gave me about a half ounce of really nice weed.I don't smoke in great quantity so this should last me all Christmas.

P.S…I don't come into chat much cuz it makes me kinda nervous - the instantaneousness of it.
