This thread is very fucked up. Only Meagain and Aristartle have come close to the real issue, which is: what should be the world's response when a rogue state uses weapons of mass destruction?

I believe there must be a strong response. But I do not think it is the US's responsibility. The response should come from the UN Security Council.

I do agree that the evidence is a little weak, but if the US, France, and Britain can agree it was Assad, then I think punishment is called for. The US has totally lost credibility on anything they say about WMD.

The real issue is keeping the world's people safe from annihilation from nuclear, biological, and chemical weapons.

Belief is obviously useful in getting at the truth. That helped a lot. Served to marginalize thinking.

You're totally brainwashed by the propaganda stations; this is not a threat to our security and there's absolutely no reason for intervention!

Holy shit! since when was everyone just like Bush???

You would not say that if you knew the history of the Holocaust as I do.

Big news: The British House of Commons has just rejected the idea of participating in a military strike. I do not think the US should go it alone.

But, I think France is really into it. You know, they'll send their 4 people. ;)

    I don't think it's a good idea either...BUT... I'd be SHOCKED if the U.S. DOESN'T do this. Literally shocked.

There is a sincere bone in the world somewhere that people don't want to die.

If it went the other way we'd be America's poodle, it's gone another way so we are 'faggots' (whatever that means). We can't really win, can we. And what's this 'we' - you planning a flight to Syria?

Tolkien wrote that faggots were a bundle of brushwood used to start a fire, at least that's what Bilbo said.

So I guess you guys are bundles of brushwood.

I have always wanted to visit Syria, it is so rich in history. I hope Americans don't bomb everything, as they usually do.

Obama advocates a 'shot across the bow' for Syria.

What that means is anybodies guess.

Americans don't care about history, probably because they are jealous they have none themselves.

I now regret not going to Syria when I was in Israel a few years ago. But then again, they don't take too kindly to people coming from Israel and vice versa.

It would really be a shame, it is such a relevant place, especially to religious people.
I am glad I at least saw Egypt before all the stuff happened.

Hey... don't generalize. I live in the U.S. and I've always wanted to see Syria too. (amongst many other places).
