is that the best you can do.. good grief we're doomed..come on now.. i know you got more then that in you..
Shameless..or whatever your SN is..I just wanted to stop in and say that you've got it all wrong about my generation. I'm sorry that we're not rolling around in mud, dropping acid, smoking weed like there's no tomorrow and having sex with everyone and their brother at Woodstock, but that doesn't mean we're sitting on our asses, doing nothing about the world. There are plenty of activists out there..but they don't all have to be hippies. We've suffered just as much as your generation did..if not more, what with all the violence and crap in the world today. We've had protests about the War on Terror (yeah, that's right, we've had war in our time too!), gas prices, women's rights, gay rights, all sorts of equality and other issues - damn, you name it..look it up, there has been a protest/boycott for it or whatever you say we haven't been doing. Maybe you think we aren't taking such great strides because no one has labled us as hippies, and our generation isn't as publicized as yours was at the time, but open your eyes. People are doing what they can for what they believe in. Don't bash us because we have other ambitions that prevent us from full-time hippydom. Peace & Much love.
Wha.. the end of the Earth? Please tell me that you aren't serious.. I'm going to feel like an idiot if I've been trying to talk sense to a lunatic.
bella bella.. I was not bashing young people in general only a few in here that have been bashing my culture and making what happened in the sixties sound meaningless. I have just posted that our future is in the hands of the youngers.. and we are not expectin many of yall at the barn so what now? <shameless>
I only said what I was told.. dont get wild on me.. it was a message not an attack. dont shoot the messenger or you'll never know when it's over.. <shameless> and I am not a lunatic..
did I say According to shameles the world will be ending on thursday.. no I did not.. I said the preacher at Emmanual Babtist Church preached it at sunday morning's service.. now you blame revelations on me .. as a hippie, or just me..?? <shameless>
LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! is all I have to say that. I'm guessing youre one of the people who believed that civilization was going to end with the coming of the new Millenium too, werent ya?
ohh good grief here's soul.. welcome soul.. bear your soul with us.. I am NOT a Babtist or any other organized religion.. btw.. so no use going there.. <shameless>
yes it was sam.. I was answering a post that brought it up again as to what I was saying about young people..<shameless>
sam I can see you as a republican..conservative.. a pinch of a-retentiveness behavior.. is that normal for you or is it just for our benefit.. <shameless>
do you have someting of value to say to me.. I would like to hear something of value coming from you..
If you were only saying those things to a few people, why did you challenge all of us to come up with some answers? Few people here have a problem with your generation and whatever you guys did, and many of us appreciate the movement that taught peace and acceptance...although few of YOU maintained your stance as the years went on. Guidence is one thing but you only set the example and alot of people are over that now - what ELSE have you done to help us carry on the hippy way? And offuckincourse we're not gonna be at 'the barn' because we have fully functional brains, as someone previously pointed out. *sigh*
Actually, if you would have read one of my previous posts or looked at my profile, you would have seen that I am indeed an ultra-liberal. I simply don't like having conversations with close-minded crack pots like yourself.
