I definitely recommend getting your nose pierced with a hoop...just make sure the gauge that they want to put in isn't large or you're going to have a gaping hole in your nose (which is what mine was going to end up being like had I not taken it out and put a screw in). It's a lot easier to clean that way and some piercing places won't even pierce it with anything BUT a hoop (which was what the place I went to did).

    Good luck!

one more tip Penny, stock the fuck up on nose studs!

I always seem to lose mine. At the moment I have this big crystal earring in my nose because I got to work and realize it must have fallen out somewhere *growl*

Good luck with that and post pictures when you get it done :)

nose piercing fuckin hurts man... I mean... I had done (to myself) at least 20 piercings in the last six month (I got bored of most of them) but I really like my nose piercing... They DO NOT ruin the beuty... if u wanna take them out you can take them out and in like one or too weeks it will close up compleetly and will leave no kind of scar...

Last night after my shower, I was towelling off and my nose screw came out. It just kinda fell out... It's happened once or twice before. Anyways, didn't it fall right into the tub and start on it's merry way down the drain. I managed to rescue it right before it disappeared but it's inspired me. I'm running downtown today to pick up a coupla "back ups". Just in case...

hmm, odd. I've never had my nose jewelry disappear on me... I have one of those ones with two bends in them so it's hard for it to just wiggle out. But yeah, get it pierced with a hoop, it's much easier to clean and deal with, then change to a stud when it's all healed up. rings aren't as nice looking, imho, but they get the job done

oh, and when I got mine done, I was told to use neutrogena antibacterial UNscented soap with a cotton swap to clean it, worked really well, I didn't get any infections or have any problems with it whatsoever

Ya it hurts just for a second.. Its mostly alot of pressure.. Take someone to laugh at you its hilarious.. My mom took me and that distracted me from the big needle going in my nose.. Its not that bad...Ya it would look awesome on you..

i just got mine done last weekend and it is really quick and is only really a pinch...afterwards though you have to take care of it because it gets sore and infected if you don't...that's my advice.
