Hi everyone. I'm a wanderer of the mountains and the deserts. Love our planet. Just signed up to meet like minded people, and maybe a woman close to my age of 58. I lived through the sixties and seventies and can tell you all about that time. I live in northern Colorado and spend lots of time in the southwest, like Arizona and Nevada in the wintertime. Would love to meet a woman who would like do travel together to all the national parks, forests, campgrounds, and beaches.

Hi there Beachball, I've been to the UK many times. I've also been to Africa, the Mediterranean, and some parts of Asia. I love historic places. In Colorado we have a place called Mesa Verde. That is where the Indian cliff dwellings are located. It is an amazing place. I spent most of last winter in southern Arizona. There is a lot to see there. There are cool old gold mining towns there. What do you do in the UK? Do you go to college, or work? Do you ever travel to the US? Peace & Light to you, Stormountainman
Hi Beachball, when are you coming to Colorado so I could show you the Rocky Mountains? You can google "Cache Le Poudre Canyon pictures" and get an idea of what things look like where I live. Be sure to bring your sandals along.
Ha ha ...we'll see. I hope that's not all you want me to bring ... my sandals. BTW - you do know, don't you, that posts in this part of the forum don't count towards your post count. So nattering away here won't help you up from "Guest" to "Member". You need to write a bit in some other parts of the forum for that.
Ok Beachball, I thought that what I was doing did count. Guess I'm a slow learner. Do I have to write in sections other than the introductions? Like the political forum? And to answer your question on the sandals; you really do not need to bring anything else. I have everything that we need right here. You can travel light. P.S. look up the Cache Le Poudre Canyon pictures on the net. It is very beautiful and would look more beautiful if you were in it.
Well ... you're up to 6 posts now, so you're obviously finding other places to post, too I've had a look for some images. You're right ... it is very beautiful. But the fires look a little bit scarey, too.
Awe, they put the fires out a long time ago, and where I would take you would be nice and with green pines, silver spruce, and other nice trees. The mulberry trees have a cool berry. It is sort of like black raspberries. They are very sweet and the bears love them. Near the river there are lots of box-elder tree and cottonwoods. Sometimes you would see the wild turkeys near them. Us older guys know these things.
Hi Tyrsonswood, turkeys are cool and smart in the wild. By the way, I've read a lot of Krishnamurthy, or Krishnamurti, depending on which university you happen to be at, and I love his thinking. It is similar to Buddhism.
Hi drumminmama, We might know each other and we might know the same people. I've been going to the Mish since 1972. I moved to Fort Collins in 1980. I lived in the canyon for a while. I have been to many good concerts at the Mish. My Buddy Gary lived in the caboose across the road. He had an old 1957 International Harvester pickup. My buddy Turkey Two Moons lived in the canyon too. My lady used to manage the Bear and The Whale saloon downtown Fort Collins. They had "Blue Monday" blues jams every Monday night. Robin the former owner got busted and now some new guy from town owns it. Things have changed.
