Walmart: How much do you hate it and why?

well, they're the defintion of greed. taking away everyone else's jobs, making them work there.. I mean, if wal mart takes over, and every one still has jobs, why is that so bad? ...they give a crappy pay and hoard all of the money to the owners, managers... the big positions. No health coverage, and with that crappy pay, how do they expect their workers to get health coverage?

sure, still having walmart is okay, but don't make it so big and powerful.

 

i used to work at Wal*mart at after three monthes i was making $8.30/hr.
they offer great job opportunities for our country, but then again they are pushing away smaller businesses which i am not very fond of...

 

Not at all really. I just came from one of our Wal-Marts. With the way costs are rising, I'll shop anywhere, where I can save money.

 

I don't hate it. That's wasted energy.

I never understood what it was about Walmart that pisses people off so much, My home town is pretty small and a walmart opened there, Didn't really effect local business at all.

Walmart sells fish, The local pet store sells better fish that are a little more expensive. Same with bikes, watches, cloth, and food in there respective stores.

If a walmart moved to your town and your favorite store closed it's because the PUBLIC stopped shopping there and started shopping at walmart.

Why? well because it's cheaper.

Small business cant stay small forever if they try they will in the end become obsolete.

Even walmart started small.

 

Maybe it's your disrespectful friend you should be angry at, And not a store chain?

 

I hear many people saying they live in rural areas with little else and don't have the money to shop anywhere else. This is not some coincidence Walmart is taking advantage of. This is a clear and deliberate business plan Walmart has executed. They are the reason you have nowhere else to shop, they are the reason the only place you can probably get a job is at the fucking Walmart. Irresponsible corporations like these are probably the reason you have no money. These fuckers are are the worst kinds of corporate shit on the face of the earth. (I am not a big environmentalist by any standard) They rape the environment, They devastate the local economy as well as our National economy and the god damn stupid fucking government doesn't do dick about it because half of them have their thumbs up their asses and the other half Walmart probably bought a new Yacht for. Anyway I'm gonna cut this short before a blood vessel and my brain explodes...

PS. What do you think will happen to those low prices when every last person in America works at Walmart (Walmart Doctors, Walmart Lawyers, Walmart Mechanics ecet., I do believe this will happen eventually if they are continually allowed to do whatever they fucking want) They will have your balls (and mine) in a vicegrip even worse than they do now. Think about that before you shop there again to save $0.39 on your eggs...

Really? Wal-Mart is the reason people have no money? Most of the people who shop at W-M aren't all that well off and shop there to SAVE money.
Plus if people can't save their own money, and MUST have the latest of everything, then put it on credit, sounds more like it's their own fault.

Wal-Mart doctors, lawyers etc? Oh common.

Greenryder, you don't see any ethical problems with that business plan?

here is what happens:

Small town has a drug store, electronics store, a gas station, and a farmers market

Walmart comes to town and makes sure to include a pharmacy gas station, electronics section and massive supermarket

They massively cut their prices to the point where they barely make their money back

Everybody shops at Walmart
All the other places go out of business (if walmart didn't buy them and close them to begin with)

walmart raises their prices back to standard which is marginally lower than the previous competitors prices

all of the employees of these companies are now force to seek employment, the only place in town being walmart

walmart pays them minimum wage and will only accept workers part time (which they can do because most of the towns population has no other choice but to work there) which means they don't have to pay them overtime or provide them with any kind of medical or retirement benifits

People are even more poor because they are being paid shit, and are forced to continually throw their wages back into the walmart and barely get by

Is that really so hard to understand? Why do you assume everybody from these rural areas are ignorant money wasters who live beyond their needs?

Well greenryder you seemed to think their current business plan was good, what would you do if you were in their shoes and were virtually unregulated? Why stop at pharmacies, food ect?

that the best you got rudenoodle, try saying something of substance before expecting anybody to take you seriously
