If abortion is illegal, even more people will die. I honestly hate abortion (if you're not ready to raise a child, then you're not ready to have sex. Simple as that.), but if it's illegal, then more back-alley abortions will take place. This causes the girls to become infected, and possibly die, this way, not only the babies, but the would-be mothers die too.

What's this asshole gonna think in a couple or three years when he gets drafted because bush ran out of dumb ass volunteers, and he's sitting in North Korea, or Iran, or Saudi Arabia, or Pakistan, or whoever the hell else bush thinks is connected to al qaeda getting his as shot up for no good reason? I disagree with abortion,but it is also wrong to bring an nwanted baby into this world if it is going to be hated and cursed. I'd like to think that if I became pregnant I would be strong enough to keep the child and be responsible for my own actions. I don't think id be able to sleep at night wondering what she/he might be like now. On the other hand, if abortion was made illegal, what owuld happen in rape situations? I don't know if id be able to look at my child without picturing the face of my attacker. It should be up to the mother whether she has an abortion or not.

 

eh? stem cell research could be used to help cure cancer and other diseases- it could help save lives

as for abortion....yeah it's sad but I'd rather only the baby died, than both the mother and the baby from infection or poisoning caused by a backstreet abortion

as for abortion - when the 'child' is still young enough i think of it more as a potential person rather than an independant (and therefore real) person. If the foetus absolutely cannot live independantly of the mothers body then it is just like a parasite.
Also, if abortion is banned the rate of infanticide will skyrocket. What is worse, a barely developed foetus being aborted or a fully formed baby being dumped in a trash can and left to die?
I think abortion should be a last resort. Yet, it should be legal (for some of the preganacy), because I put the rights of an 'established' human before something that is essentially just human DNA.

 

first of all..kerry is not FOR abortion...kerry is FOR the woman's right to choose...and what may I ask is so wrong with that.

for your information, your buddy bush is also FOR drilling oil in Alaska...now that can't be a good thing can it? Vacation there, and you'll see what a treasure it is and I'm sure you'll see things in a different light.

 

I don't think kerry is the answer but he is sure a whole hell of a lot better than bush. How can anybody vote for that moron. I think to be president you should at least be able to speak a whole sentance without having to pause to try to remember what you were trying to say.

You know what..in all honesty....I am for abortion..that is depending on the situation.

Honestly, if some guy raped me and I became pregnant, I don't think I would want to carry that child. If i knew that child would kill me, or would no survive birth itself, yet another thing, because there would be this strong attachment of carrying it.

I dont know.. I used to be against it but the more and more I think about it..I think I'm pro choice.

I know many may disagree, but honestly, if I ever did get an abortion for some reason I find right, then it would me MY choice in MY life. I think we forget that we always fight for our own rights and what not, so why is this any less a right.

Normally, I don't comment on politics or anything of the sort because I get all worked up and get a headache. However, Hempboy, It's a good thing you are only 16 -- you can't vote yet. I didn't like George Sr. and I certainly don't like Georgie Jr. All he is doing is finishing his daddy's war. Our families are over in Iraq because GWB is upset that his daddy lost last time. He is a pissant and should go crawl in a hole. He also said the other day in a radio address to the nation that he is pushing to have the bill pushed thru congress to ban gay marriages -- who the hell is he to say who someone is to love or not -- jsut because it isn't considered a traditional family??? He is also opposed to abortion-- personally I don't think I could have one but who am I to say what is better for anyone else -- I am not them nor do I know what they are going thru -- I am sorry -- see my blood starts to boil when I start thinking about the possiblity of Bush for another term. We, as Americans, were smart enough last time to see the error of our ways and we voted for Clinton (thank god!) -- I hope GWB doesn't go for a second term -- I really don't feel like moving to Canada
