Viva Mexico! Let the gritas begin!

It's started, the 210th anniversary of the Republic of Mexico, the presidente yells out Viva Mexico and the crowd roars! Very traditional, but this year it well be a 'virtual' grita without the 200,000 or more party goers in the main square of Mexico City.

Mayors and Governors all over Mexico also send out gritas!

In all its pomp and circumstance here is a video of last year's proceedings (pre-pandemic).

 

Here is the Cry of Dolores which launched the Mexican Revolution 210 years ago. re-enacted for you by the President of Mexico, AMLO.
Notice the lack of crowds in the Zocalo, a first for the nation.
