I live in Harrisonburg VA in the heart of the Shen Valley, I love it here! Got Mountains, guns rednecks, deer and Martial Arts, that's enough to keep me here!
anyone ever been down the skyline drive? got on at front royal and drove it all the way down, amazing views. definitely a breath of fresh air, and a change of pace from living in the burbs.
i might as well give this thread a little bitty baby bump. if any of the people that posted on this thread a couple years ago are still around. no need to bitch about how bad virginia is, i lived in NJ my whole life and it got so bad there that i couldnt survive there with the high cost of living and ridiculous taxes and cost of insurance.
Still in Va beach! 21 year old female. I need more friends! lol Anyone looking to chill or get up PM me
VA`s pretty cool if you know where to look. I used to hate it here, but not so much now that I`ve found some stuff to do. A lot of great musicians stop by on their tours, cheap venues like Innsbrook and especially Wolftrap are fantastic. Lots of free/cheap festivals in Richmond, as well as The Byrd Theatre (they show second-run movies for $2 a ticket). If you like horse racing, Colonial Downs is in New Kent, a great track and cheap to attend. Landscape wise, we`ve got mountains, rivers, and a beach and plenty of nice parks. Too much historically related stuff to list.
