Peaceful is better. Violence leads to retaliation, and the protesters are usually the little guy. Besides, people take a peaceful prtest more seriously

    Peaceful, very much the best...
No doubt FBI and CIA moles will try to make it violent.

Why would a mole try to incite violence? Surely that would be the job of agents provocateurs?

    depends on the situation.
when you have been protesting peacefully for months... or if who youre protesting to really doesnt give a shit...

many times desperation plays a role as well

Violent protesting is much more fun. Burning the white house, torturing Bush, raping his daughters and wife... then you know you're alive.

    What a silly question.

Peacefull protest definately is THE way to protest...no-one can protest against a war with violence, that, is hypocritical....

BUT, I do believe that it is mighty fun to throw eggs at Neo-Nazi marches:H

Peaceful protest cultivates better thoughts and feelings between people, and much greater understanding.

Also, if we believe our own views to be right and we want to teach others to follow the right path, then sharing our outlook peacefully is surely a much better way of doing that than violently forcing our beliefs onto other people.

when you have a violent protest, the media can show the protest and make it look like just a bunch of idiots got together and did stupid shit. If you got a peaceful protest, how anyone gonna say that so easily. it also gets less people in jail

Teach by example. Violence would be propagating everything we are fighting against. We must remain peaceful in order to maintain our dignity.

personally i think you need both dependoing on the situation.

i was readin some stuff about Chicage in '68 and apparently at the beginning aLot of the protesting there was VERY peaceful but the mayor was such a dick and the police were such asses that it turned extremely violent

I was at a protest in Chicago not too long ago. The mayor is still a dick and the pigs are still assholes (lining the streets in full riot gear). The protest remained peacefull nonetheless. I would say remain peacefull but don't back down. Let them know you are there to be heard.

As long as we don't confuse 'passion' with violence we'll be alright :)

Peaceful. Although viloent is more fun it would be used by the right to oppress free speach and stop all protesting agents their illegal war.
